Not a bad take, your $0.02 is worth more than a lot of other people’s (not saying the takes here are bad, just a general statement). I’m far, far on the opposite end of the extreme of some people in this thread; I was comfortable on a single 11" MacBook Air screen". Part of that is certainly my ADHD/autism, in that I can hyperfocus on the thing that’s in the foreground and just swap everything else to disk when I’m not looking at it. I appreciate the recognition that it is all about taste; so many folks tend to state their preferences like they’re objective fact.

I’m saying Q is the god-alike, not the Prophets / SIsko.

Also without Odo, similarly unfortunately. And yes, I would. Hopefully better than on S3 PIC though… eesh

Q could fingersnap the Prophets out of existence. While powerful, and indeed nonlinear (which Q is as well), their influence is more or less strictly limited to the Celestial Temple.

There’s that episode of TNG where he has to confront, get along with, and work peacefully with the Cardassians. I forget which one it is, but he does not handle it well.
Oh, and also remember he’s seen so much combat (235 separate engagements) that Starfleet recognized him as an expert in starship combat. Saw his friend (Nog) mutilated by the Jem’Hadar (The Siege of AR-558). Watched his other friend die slowly after being attacked by the Jem’Hadar (Muniz). Almost died with his situationship (Bashir) inside of a spy’s (Sloan’s) mind. Constantly injured his shoulder or other parts of his body while trying to relax (kayaking, raquetball, darts).
I could go on…
- Comment on Unlimited Suffering! 11 months ago:
That sounds like a scene Rick Berman would’ve argued for. Garak and Bashir? No way; Garak and underaged Cardassian girl? Absolutely.

Why not both?

Sisko would’ve punched Madred the same way he punched Q, the closest thing Star Trek has to an actual god.
- Comment on Is this right? Not a Star Trek fan. 11 months ago:
I mean, much as I’d like Sisko to come back in anything regarding DS9, that Brooks doesn’t want to do it is actually convenient for the story: Sisko’s in the Celestial Temple with the Prophets, let him stay there. LD has shown we can have a great DS9 episode without him.
It’s a shame he’s not interested, but there are plenty of BIPOC actors who’d love to have a chance at being in Trek.

Came here to say the same thing. It’s gotta be satire. Almost everything is spelled correctly, just a lot of "bone apple tea"s, some of which don’t even make sense.

I’ve encountered that in Angband, one of the earliest (and still-developed!) roguelikes. It’s got 100 required dungeon levels, plus 20 beyond the final boss’s level (basically just for getting cooler loot), and so many of them are procedural oatmeal. Newer versions are better about that, but much worse in other respects 🤷♀️

Just because you’ve never been told no (n = 1) it doesn’t mean you’re guaranteed success. Authors aren’t obligated to do as you ask.

One of the best two-parters in all of Trek, IMO. Homefront and Paradise Lost, for anyone wondering. Excellent commentary on the US military and the scare tactics it uses to control citizens–and all of this almost six years before 9/11!

Don’t feel bad; Paradox games are (in)famously impenetrable. I wish I had a suggestion besides “play a lot and lose a lot” 🤷♀️ The only games I can think of with higher learning curves (more like learning cliffs) are EVE and Dwarf Fortress.
