Omg this was me when my dad and brother told me they’d strapped down studs in the back of my dad’s escort wagon. After taking the first turn I discovered that was a lie

Who the fuck prioritized efficiency over quality in their backyard garden?
My handmade solid maple and walnut furniture will never reach the yield or cost-effectiveness as IKEA. I guess I’ll just have to burn my shop down

Ya I saw that cybertruck to cargo bike comparison. I automatically went to the mountain bikes. We don’t have the same cargo bikes the Dutch have but there is a guy around here with a cargo e-trike. I bet it’d be close. But the car can also take a second passenger not in the cargo space.

- Comment on China has flooded the market with so many solar panels that people are using them as garden fencing 7 months ago:
They can actually be more efficient. They can reflect heat remaining cooler and not be essentially thermally throttled. You can also put them in a denser array

Nuhuh. I tried planning a trip a month ago and everything was sold out and airfare was astronomical. I’m gonna plan a trip for the Spanish one in 2026 a year early

Wrapping no but it is hard to get the amount of innards right. I’m just too excited to eat all those good guts. But then I have a burrito bowl, oh well.
- Comment on Apple Vision Pro launch pre-view testers complain about weight, comfort, even headaches 9 months ago:
Not everyone is adopting it and it’s still niche but to say no one wants it at any price is a little absurd.
I think the next few iterations of the Big Screen Beyond, especially if they can include wireless, could really see an improved acceptance.

- Comment on I made a robot to inspect my HVAC ducts 11 months ago:
There are specific cable ratings for specific situations. CMR for risers or going between drops vertically. Rated for a slower burn. CMP for plenum as the other poster mentioned is for use in ducts. It’s rated to give off less toxic gases during a fire which is important since the ducts distribute air throughout your house.

I’m sure there’s a lot of houses it might work for. 2x4 studs with half inch sheathing and facade plus half inch drywall is only like 5 inches
