Fuck mcdonalds and all that but honestly if a respected buisness had some fun and personality on their building why avoid it? Anyone can just put up a brick and mortar store it takes someone who actually cares to try and have fun.
Also Charlie’s entertainment cheese is now very much like this with their few locations it’s just very basic no fun houses or little rides it’s just an arcade now with VERY muted colors.
- Comment on Watch: A real-life flying car takes to the skies 1 week ago:
It’s a lightweight 3d printed exoskeleton of a car using drone like motors and fans. The journalist who went in person was not allowed to be close or watch someone get in or out of the vehicle. While in air it is pretty obvious there is no interior seating just what looks like 2 large fans on the bottom. To call this even a concept of a flying car is incorrect at best it’s a custom drone.
- Comment on Sounds like a problem for them, not me. 3 weeks ago:
They’ll cancel the day of in some places within the US. Typically fast food and retail power tripping managers pull this because they don’t know how to utilize the crew they have. This is why we tell everyone never to answer work calls on your day off.
- Comment on Google looks to be fully shutting down unsupported extensions and ad blockers in Chrome, such as uBlock Origin – which might push some folks to switch to Firefox 5 months ago:
Firefox isn’t far behind now. They just announced ads are coming and they know their platform is used heavily with ad blocking extensions so they’ll cut it
- Comment on Amazon will “ramp up” Prime Video ads in 2025 5 months ago:
The hardest part to combat is laziness. Amazon is a one stop shop. Personally I don’t care to shop online much anymore but when I do I’m always using direct websites for the companies since I know what I’m looking for.
Also something scary to think about, They could lose most of their customers and still thrive because of how much money they have already pulled in.
- Comment on there's now more ads in "legit" sites (YouTube, amazon) than in piracy sites 5 months ago:
Here’s a really horrifying fact about ads, they don’t expect you to go right out and buy their product. Ads target your subconscious and manipulate your way of thinking. There was a study done by some university and tested by a few people across different fields of study that proved this to be correct. I wish I could remember off the top of my head where this was published. If you do a little browsing you can probably find it and you should because you can’t trust a stranger like me to properly relay the information.
- Comment on New Storefront Law Tells Us What We All Should Know: We Don't Own Digital Games | Time Extension 5 months ago:
There needs to be a law that requires a physical copy of anything offered digitally. This law does nothing. People don’t read the terms as it is adding this won’t encourage anyone since it’ll be smothered into a bunch if legal nonsense the average person won’t even understand.

It’s really about where you bank. Never had master always visa over the last 20 years with 3 different banks.
- Comment on Youtube has fully blocked Invidious 5 months ago:
As someone who does a lot of DIY what are my options? I can’t learn from reading and have nobody to show me how in person. Other platforms are so incredibly limited I can’t ever find any content helping me learn something. What other platform is seeking to ACTUALLY compete with YouTube by offering fair compensation and exposure to the masses? It’s so incredibly expensive to try that nobody is.
- Comment on Ford seeks patent for tech that listens to driver conversations to serve ads 5 months ago:
They’re gonna tie it into a safety component so it can’t be messed with. Likely they’ll say it’s tied to the emergency system that can alert authorities in the event of an accident.

I’m loving it! I love how the steps for each activity is fair and that we can bank steps up to 8k so they don’t go unused!
- Comment on When EV startups shut down, will their cars still work? 6 months ago:
My favorite thing about that is when you fill in the required info and need an email but because you gotta enter it each time using a temporary email doesn’t work. Then you get spammed to death by them…
- Comment on What are some game series you would like to see revived? And if possible, which entry should the new game follow from? 6 months ago:
I’d love to see need for speed come back following the underground 2 formula.
- Comment on Aaaaah 6 months ago:
I get this all the time. Have your foot angle up towards your head. It’ll stop the cramps from happening. Picture standing up and trying to balance on your heels you want that kind of bend at the foot/ankle.
- Comment on What’s a game you can 100% without hating by the end? 6 months ago:
The newer spider man games. I think it has a reasonable amount of collectibles and is fun to collect. The secret photo ops were tricky but not impossible if you’ve ever seen any of the movies. I’ve 100% every one including all trophies and new game+.
- Comment on Why won't companies release old games or at least make very old ones free? 6 months ago:
Did you read the entire post? They clearly state multiple times that re-releasing would be fine too. They’re saying if the companies aren’t planning to do anything why not just set stuff to free there’s no harm on the older consoles for doing so. If they release them on say the switch or Xbox we can atleast purchase them to have fun. Look at pokemon the entire community wants to play the old games but aren’t able to unless they buy from a private seller.

- Comment on Alexa Is in Millions of Households—and Amazon Is Losing Billions 7 months ago:
I call absolute bullshit on this. They’re losing out on the sale of the device but make up for it 20 fold by selling and manipulating data it collects in your house. This isn’t even conspiracy loads of people report Alexa going off randomly without any sort of prompt. Don’t tell me the device isn’t listening closely to every little conversation you have.

- Comment on I think it's extremely invasive that amazon is telling me this 9 months ago:
Yo that last bit is messed up. I can’t even imagine working and having to grab my kiddo knowing people are watching me get to them. That seems so damn stressful for you guys. Even me as a consumer is annoyed by that. I’m the guy who would count down stops if I had to wait for super long as the “next stop” I’d get super annoyed. Not that any of it would be the drivers fault since that’s their job and it’s being made significantly more stressful almost as if to manipulate you into working more.
Knowing this I’ll know if it ever comes to my area to be significantly more understanding. Thank you for the perspective of that side.

Genuinely curious, is there any major tech companies that haven’t done this? Our info is plastered everywhere nowadays due to this type of crap.
- Comment on 40-year-old delivers for DoorDash to help pay down her $100,000 student loan debt—on top of her full-time job 10 months ago:
It’s absolutely the norm. I work with loads of people who jumped ship on their degree because they couldn’t find good enough pay in the field. I’d say maybe 40% of my team is in this situation most of them over 35. One of the younglings gave up after his first semester after researching his FOS and learning he didn’t stand a fincial chance. It’s pretty fucking sad honestly. Great kid with nothing but ambition and hard work to give.
