I really shouldn’t say much, but I’m a Fed and our agency is also dealing with the blanket idiocy/hatred. It’s literally brought so much crucial work to a grinding halt just to appease various executive orders. That’s not even to mention the erasure and fear that many at work are feeling. It’s fucking inhumane and such a disservice to the public, and people won’t know WHY their government services are failing.
- Comment on ‘Forbidden Words’: Github Reveals How Software Engineers Are Purging Federal Databases 12 hours ago:
To be fair, it wasn’t even adopted as the national anthem until 1931in the middle of decades of nationalism, and hateful “patriotism” designed to force a very specific image of America that is NOT inclusive to others.
Today there are far too many morons who think so many of these oppressive things were instituted by the founders and therefore it should remain as is forever. The same assholes who think some past heyday was “better” than today.
It’s up there with the pledge of allegiance, in god we trust, and various statues and shit.
Fuck these people.

This also appears to be his dumbass approach to the federal government.

Try being a Federal employee. Or trams. Or a minority. Or in need of various social services.
For some the last 2 weeks already feels like a year. For others it’s potentially life ending.
Fuck everyone who voted for this.

Game looks like shit anyways. The peoples faces felt like some late PS2 or early PS3 era cinematics. Just lifeless.
- Comment on The key is to over share until they stop asking. 4 weeks ago:
That’s not a Brit thing though. That’s basically true most places. Nobody ever actually cares. Nobody ever wants anyone to actually share. It’s meaningless niceties.

Therefore I must pay attention to everything else? People were not designed to be globally concerned constantly.
- Comment on 2025 trailer be wild 4 weeks ago:
I learn most major news nowadays BECAUSE it’s a meme in an unrelated forum. There’s no point worrying about mega and sometimes global news events that you could literally do nothing about and often might not even affect you.
Just enjoy your life best you can and minimize that stress.
Good for you.

Wow. Stuff happens in places and when you consider all places, a lot of stuff will happen. Let’s overreact to them and act as if stuff didn’t previously happen and as if this is somehow shocking, new, or personally affecting thosenof us who don’t live remotely close to these events.
- Comment on 2025 trailer be wild 4 weeks ago:
None of which happened in most people’s local areas. Stop reading national news on a regular basis. Focus on your small little life, your family, your neighborhood, your little area.
Of course when you cast a wide net nationally or globally, there will always be negative things happening, and then if you mainly focus on those events, you’ll act as if negative things are the only things.
- Comment on Skyblivion - The Path to Release (Development Update) 4 weeks ago:
The Bethesda remake is supposedly using some Frankenstein of the original engine shoved into unreal. It’ll suck.
Though in their defense, it’s not being done by Bethesda at all. It’s being done by some studio who has mainly only done support work for other studios bigger games.
- Comment on Skyblivion - The Path to Release (Development Update) 4 weeks ago:
A long time ago, I read one of their developers say you require the original games since the mod is specifically designed not to re-provide you with any copyright material from either game, amd in fact I think itll look for and use the files you have.
This was done on purpose so they can never worry about being shut down or sued if they ensure they never wrongly re-use or provide copyrighted materials. Probably a smart move for such a massive undertaking.

I 100% the PS3 one plus DLC. I then 100% the remake plus the new DLC. I love the game. It’s just fun. It has flaws, but I like the flaws.

- Comment on Whatever happened to racing games 2 months ago:
You still have Forza, Forza Horizon, Gran Turismo, Wreckfest, F1, WRC, Need for Speed, Assetto Corsa, iRacing, MotoGP, Monster Energy Supercross, Hot Wheels Unleashed, NASCAR, and Lego 2k Drive just to name a few that have current or recent releases and are great and fill a wide variety of needs for racing.
Even Project Cars and Dirt had recent solid entries in the last decade that are still good today, and some obscure Saturday night local track style racing games like World of Outlaws, SRX, and various Tony Stewart dirt racing games have been released in the last 5-10 years.
There’s also remakes like Burnout happening.
There’s tons of racing games.

- Comment on If reality worked the way hiring managers and job interviews thought it did companies would have to fire everyone when they purchased new software since no one would have any experience using it. 3 months ago:
You’ll get a lot further when you realize hiring managers also are lost and most listings are bullshit. And I mean they probably don’t even intend for it to be bullshit but that’s what corporations everything results in. Apply to stuff you only mostly fit. Don’t look for complete fit or ability to check every box. So many interviews and jobs wind up not being exactly as advertised. If you read it as literal, you’ll ace out tons of potential jobs that might have been just fine for you.
I have also had some success through my career emphasizing (with actual stories) how I know how to learn from others and on my own. So it’s okay that I don’t know every little thing, and then point to my past examples of adapting to unknown or unclear situations where I had to learn on the job.
Also people are very impressed by factual stories. Numbers, etc. Tell about times when you actually did a thing. Not how you are able to, but give an example of a problem and how you overcame. Even from school projects, team projects, thesis work. Anything.
