Also in the US, the bottom 50% don’t pay a dime in federal income taxes.
Also the concept of “MY” tax dollars is super selfish.

Yep. It became clear to me through difficult times and turmoil that my parents switch to Christianity during my childhood was their way to find excuses to never have to change or answer to others.
It’s a convenient way to remain narcissist and pretend you’re improving as a person.
My dad made it very clear he only needs to answer to “god” and nobody else.
Cool. Drop dead, dad.

Pro tip, if your sentence ever begins with “am I the only one…” then just stop and completely reconsider the point you want to make. Just make the point. Lose the fluff.
- Comment on Pope 2 weeks ago:
The formal requirement to be Pope is a baptized catholic male. Doesn’t even technically have to be a cardinal. But has to be male. Idiotic religion.
- Comment on EA aren't making any more rally games, but there are alternatives 2 weeks ago:
VRally4 is a lot of fun on Steam Deck. I also enjoyed WRC4 on PS Vita.
I played a lot of Sébastien Loeb Rally Evo on PS4, and while it’s got quite a few drawbacks, I had a lot of fun still. It was most painful trying to use a wheel and get the settings right, but with controller amd easier settings, it wasn’t bad.

How about we stop worshipping military like a fucking cult, while we are at the same time badgering federal government employees and fucking them over.

- Comment on Steam will soon start making it easier for players to search for games based on accessibility features 3 weeks ago:
People need to remember that news about how Steam has like 300 employees. They do a ton with a small crew, and they stay down to earth. Coming from all sorts of console gaming and the shittyness of that, It’ll be a long time before I criticize Steam.
- Comment on Random Screenshots of my Games #59 - Far Cry 5 3 weeks ago:
Far Cry 6 is tons of fun and 5 was kind of meh to me. I also thought 4 was incredible.
- Comment on Random Screenshots of my Games #59 - Far Cry 5 3 weeks ago:
As a fan since the first, and having played nearly every version of Far Cry, Far Cry 5 was the biggest disappointment for so many reasons. What a dud. I cannot comprehend the love people have for this mediocre pile of mush.
The Vietnam DLC was fun though.
Blood Dragon is the best Far Cry by the way. But truly Far Cry 2 is actually the best for what it aimed to achieve, which was lost in subsequent games.

- Comment on Bill Gates Bought His Daughter A $16 Million Horse Farm As A Graduation Gift — But Ex-Wife Melinda Says The Kids Were Raised Very 'Middle Class' 3 weeks ago:
In 2018, Bill Gates’ net worth was approximately $90 billion. His estimated income was around $12 billion, according to estimates from Business Insider.
In 2018, the median net worth of an American household was $101,800. I chose median cause these billionaires drastically skew the mean. The median household income was $63,179.
This is difficult cause income matters more than net worth for the rest of us. But for some perspective, to understand how fucking rich these assholes are, and how far gone from reality their hoarding is.
If an average American household gave the same scale of gift in 2018, based on household income, the gift would be $83.29, and based on net worth, it’d be $17.89.

- Comment on [deleted] 4 weeks ago:
The Bible is a collection of random manuscripts that men long ago decided were “holy” enough. On top of that, there is no “bible.” Almost every sect of Christianity has different forms of this Bible, some involving different included or excluded scripts, and numerous varying translations or rewrites.
Has always been astonishing to me how many Christians believe their Bible is the only one. They get in their little echo chambers and just assume their experience is what everyone else experiences. I’ve seen this ignorance also translate to non-religious topics as well. They just assume their world view is THE world view.
Fuck religion. But especially fuck general Christianity. It self-selects the narcissist looking for an excuse book to wave a magic wand and be absolve of their shittyness.
Just FYI this comment comes from a childhood of abuse followed by “I’ll only need to answer to God.”

- Comment on Skyblivion fan project lead reacts to Oblivion remake news with "all love and no hate" 4 weeks ago:
The way skyblivion has been implemented avoids all this. They have made it very clear they are not in any way using original assets or providing the game. They are mods that utilize both Skyrim and Oblivion game files and you must have both for it to work. It is modding those game files, not providing them.
- Comment on Commerce Secretary Lutnick says tariff exemptions for electronics are only temporary: Lutnick said "semiconductor tariffs" will likely come in "a month or two.". 4 weeks ago:
You ignore the electoral college (i.e. an entire state swinging for one candidate), you also ignore voter suppression tactics. In some parts of the US it is seriously difficult for certain groups, especially the poor, to exercise this right. Merely transportation issues alone can be super prohibitive. They explicitly close polling stations in certain areas and fucn with transportation services for this. They push back against early and mail in voting. Peoplebhave to work during that day. They have kids and lives.
This is well known in America. Get off your smug high horse.
