- Comment on Waffle House: Pull up then. 😐 1 week ago:
Honestly, I like Waffle House. I am also not getting massive meals when I go. My kids get Waffles and Bacon, I get a Bacon Egg and Cheese. Our whole bill is maybe 20 bucks, which after materials and the time involves isn’t much more than at home.

Run radiant pipes through the rivers, then recirculate your repurposed water. Less waste and probably some pretty good cooling

A few months ago (maybe a year) I found myself in a situation where I had to uninstall and re-install the native Calculator to Windows because of some error. How in the hell did they mess up a calculator? Well the same way they probably messed up the closest thing we have to pencil and paper on Windows.

Sometimes I like to remember when Nitro was like 5 bucks and gave a bunch of stuff, and now it is 10 bucks gives less AND they still try to sell me fucking cosmetics…
I dropped my Nitro when they announced a possible buyout/IPO

Ah, I could see that being confusing.
I will say compared to discord the voice channels sound rough and I’m not sure I remember that many options to customize the experience

Our view-point is so far off nobody we found under the age of 70 can relate to it, so we just made up a person! Now that thing has to do everything and anything we ask! They have no rights, only do what we say, and if they ever try to rebel we can just kill it off. Just like a slav… nevermind.

- Comment on Drivers over 70 to undergo eye tests every three years under plans to improve road safety | LBC 2 months ago:
My most favorite story about eyesight:
I went to the BMV here to get my license renewed. I am in line about 3-4 people back and an old man, presuming like 75-80 is at the counter. Lady is effectively yelling at the dude he is so hard of hearing, “put your face against the visor, you will see a light blink to the left or the right, just tell me which side you see the blinking light”. A regular peripheral vision test.
Man puts his face against the visor, and stands there. Lady asks “do you see a light?”. Man responds “What light??”. This goes back and forth about 5 to 6 times. Eventually the lady just says “THERE IS A LIGHT ON THE LEFT DO YOU SEE IT?”. The Dude fully pivots his entire body to look left within the visor, “oh yea I see a little light”. She asks for a signature and he goes to get his picture taken.
Man in front of me turns around, he and I just look at each other in disbelief that he just legally got permission to drive a car. He cannot hear anything, and can barely see anything, in a car on the road.

This is something I have suggested around my circles for a long time. But to keep it away from “age-discrimination” I’d be happy to have a re-test every 5 years when your license expires. Alternating between retaking the written test and practical test. So driving test every 10.

My issue is mostly that this is a “Mo money mo problems” situation. I did single player for B42 and I REALLY liked it. Going back to B41 is like swapping back to 480p from UHD.

- Comment on Death of beloved neighborhood cat sparks outrage against robotaxis in San Francisco 4 months ago:
I mean, it sucks for the cat and the neighborhood, I’m glad that where I live there are a few very friendly outdoor cats and I’ve always seen people nail the brakes to avoid them the few times they cross the road.
I also understand that autonomous cars kind of need more work, but real drivers also really suck at driving. I wonder if the ire here is more at “who do we blame if no driver”
Also also, I wonder if electric cars are going to cause a lot more issues for outdoor animals who to some extend get trained to listen for a Hrududu which the electric motors don’t make.
