That’s awesome to hear! I’m currently running iode on a OnePlus11 and the built-in firewall and metwork monitoring is awesome! I don’t even use the paid version. Maybe I’ll give fairphone a try next.

Dell Latitude 5290. It’s starting to show it’s age but linux has made it snappy. Even runs lightweight steam games.

Mint runs great on my dell tablet. Touch screen works fine although I haven’t tried it with a pen yet.

I don’t give a shit about drama. You dig into anybody’s life deep enough and you’re going to find sonething you don’t like.
The software works well and the code is viewable. That’s what’s important to me.

- Comment on Fairphone 5 bricked by faulty Android 15 update 2 weeks ago:
I couldn’t agree more. People are like, “Oh I would totally use an alternative phone/OS and/or degoogle… but mah baaanking app!! I shall give up all security, privacy and lick corporate boots for my baaanking app!”
I have accounts with nearly a dozen banks. I have zero banking apps on my phone. It’s had zero impact on my life. Chase Bank needed a phone call to switch 2FA to another method. That was it. My phone’s browser works fine.
YMMV in other countries.

More and more gamers are seeing Linux as the OS of choice so hopfully that will mean more interest in AMD as well.

Ebay is full of used flagships that cost very little. With enshitification, many of the older flagships are better than what you could get by buying new for the same price.
Also, fuck contracts. I’ve been using prepaid plans for ages.

Nope. Not that I’ve seen any myself.
Fact is, every other platform has been consored to oblivion.
You can post free content on reddit if you enjoy giving your work away for free. But if you’re linked to a pay site you’ll eventually be banned.
X is basically the only option left.

People often touch vastly differently from one another. I would assume a dog would become familiar with those who pet them often.
- Comment on Why Are Cars Getting Rid Of Android Auto? 2 months ago:
Best thing to do is remove google play services if at all possible. Installing microg will solve most issues. This of course means rooting the device. Which is admittedly not an easy task when dealing with head units.

I’m using 1.6.0 off f-droid on a rooted phone (not sure if that matters).
It works just like textra where the notification has a button to copy the code.

StarLink connections still exit on the ground, sometimes in a different state. You could gain access or get denied pron based on where your ground IP ends up.
