Exactly. My FB profile only still exists as a way to direct people to Signal. Messages on Meta, if I ever even see them, are ignored.

I’m using 1.6.0 off f-droid on a rooted phone (not sure if that matters).
It works just like textra where the notification has a button to copy the code.

and it doesn’t offer to copy authentication codes from a notification.
I actually does have that now 🙂👍

StarLink connections still exit on the ground, sometimes in a different state. You could gain access or get denied pron based on where your ground IP ends up.

I’ve got a 12VDC Mini PC as my NAS/Jellyfin server with 6 SSD’s and no monitor that idles around 30watts and runs entirely off solar. It ain’t fast but it does everything I need it to do and costs zero dollars to run.

That was me. Had a nice career, benefits, 401k etc. I quit in part because the company is eviI. Now I’m in debt, my body aches from my new low-paying physically demanding job. But I don’t have the bIood of chiIdren on my hands so I’ll manage.

If this passes I will simply add Wisconsin to my growing list of banned US states from accessing my website. That’s assuming it’s not already on there.

I’m pretty sure that’s already happening.
It crushes my soul that I work hard every day and make less than an AI bot running dozens of websites and youtube channels despite churning out garbage.

- Comment on RAM is so expensive that stores are selling it at market prices 3 weeks ago:
I’ll never forget the time someone in my neighborhood found out one of the local PC shops had a deal on 8MB of RAM for like 100 bucks. That’s not a typo kiddies 8 Megabytes. We were so excited, a bunch of us piled into one car and rushed over there before they sold out!

The bdsm community has been doing this for ages.

I have and continue to move around a lot. Many banks don’t have physical locations outside of their region. I continue to bank with them though if they’re good otherwise.
- Comment on Breaking: Google is easing up on Android's new sideloading restrictions! 5 weeks ago:
I had one bank like that but when I called them they were able to disable the app and use text/email instead. The catch was that if I ever opened the app again it was re-enabled.

Naa this is from the documentary “Idiocracy”. You should watch it. There are a lot of accurate predictions even though it’s kind of old now.
- Comment on I spent 18 months training generative AI – here’s what I learned 1 month ago:
I did the same shit for what sounds like the same company. It was just as chaotic for me as this article describes. Nobody there seemed to have been there more than a year. Most were only a month or two in.
I actually loved the job and the flexibility. I thought it wouldn’t happen to me because my quality of work was so good. I even got promoted. Then a week after being promoted I got removed like everyone else. The reason they have was “low quality”, yet my numbers were excellent. I argued, why would I be promoted if I was going poorly? Then they ghosted me.
It takes intelligent people to train a chatbot to be intelligent, but the billionaires want cheap labor to do this.

On Windows, almost never since it was a disruptive shitshow. Now that I’ve got everything running Linux it’s weekly. Often sooner if I happen to be remoting in and manually update.
