- Comment on How do you secure your home lab? Like, physically? From thieves? 9 hours ago:
I had to scroll down too far to find something like this.
If you’re home the solution is simple. If you’re not home, then they’ll likely steal an inexpensive boomstick rather than your network gear.

That Karen has threatened your life. Handle the situation as such.

Mint detected my Brother but nothing could print until I downloaded a driver from Brother’s website. Buttery smooth since.
- Comment on How come butthole scratches doesn't get infected with poop bacteria ? 2 weeks ago:
I’m living in an RV, still have a bidet. I’ve also installed them in countless apartments either for myself or people I know. As long as you remove it before moving out, they don’t care.

People still not using a bidet in 2025… smh

That’s depressing. Thanks for sharing your knowledge so the rest of us don’t have to figure this out the hard way.

It just crashes on occasion.
Yeah you see, that’s kind of a deal breaker.

I absolutely looove SolidWorks! But I have moved to linux and am hoping to find something like it without resorting to wine or some such.

- Comment on ICE obtains access to Israeli-made spyware that can hack phones and encrypted apps 3 weeks ago:
A lot of bold claims as to what this spyware can do. I don’t see how it’s possible without physical access to the device and also rooting it. Maybe they’re talking about iPhones though, I have no idea. Someone smarter than me please speculate how this shit is possible.

I’ve seen some that have a bot that goes along a rail and cleans the panels. The bot itself with it’s own solar panel.
- Comment on Backup/Server Options - is Syncthing / Nextcloud really the go? 4 weeks ago:
I second smbsync2 for phone backup. It’s very customizable and once setup, just works.
I also use syncthing but only for syncing files I want to be the same on all devices. FreeTube watch history and subscriptions, stuff like that.

- Comment on Should you look for a relationship if it feels like a compromise? 4 weeks ago:
I’m in the same boat. Being someone’s entire universe is horrible. From now on I require a partner to be passionate about at least two hobbies and have some damn friends!
As for OP, poly/open relationships are a thing.

The domain I use professionally is simply my full name. Then I use a catch-all so I can give out a mailbox specific to who it’s for. Often that looks like YourCompany@MyName.com That way if I get spammed I know who to blame.

- Comment on Google will block sideloading of unverified Android apps starting next year 4 weeks ago:
If you’re making the switch anyway, get yourself a domain name from a separate company to run it through. That way in the future you can keep using your domain even if you switch mail/web-hosting providers.
