- Comment on Does anyone else feel like fireworks are a complete waste of money and a ridiculous amount of unnecessary Pollution? 4 months ago:
I think they’re amazing. The chemistry of colored flame has fascinated me since I was young, and there’s nothing quite like being close to explosions. If I had more time and lived in the US I’d be a hobby pyrotechnician.

Never thought they’d be worth seeing this far down south (Midlands, bad light pollution), but was pleasantly surprised last night. Nothing compared to what I’ve seen up in Shetland but still amazing!
- Comment on Are you prepared for the ramifications of windows 10 EoL? 6 months ago:
Thanks, seems easy enough! Unfortunately my work revolves around the Adobe suite so it’s W11 fun times for me yay
- Comment on Are you prepared for the ramifications of windows 10 EoL? 6 months ago:
I should probably look into why my absolute beast of a machine apparently isn’t compatible with W11. I’ve just been ignoring it forever.

- Comment on 10 years ago, a person would be insulted for filming a video in portrait instead of landscape. Now, old landscape videos are being cropped and resized to fit in a portrait player. 8 months ago:
Shooting I’m square crop has been a thing for a while now, it means clients can re-crop the same footage for different outputs. And usually means framing is a nightmare and never really works out well for any of the output formats.

Thrure using analogue for the kamikazi drones no?
- Comment on I'm a US citizen, people in other countries, what do you think when you read stories like these about the US health care system? 8 months ago:
Some experience of the UK system, I’ve called for an ambulance twice in the UK recently for what I consider (and any reasonable person would) to be an emergency. Both times I was told it would be about 4 hours wait and could I get someone to drive me to the hospital. My partner has been phoning her GP to try and get an appointment for over two weeks and keeps getting told to phone back ‘in a few days’ because they have nothing available for over a month, including phone consultation. I’ve experienced dangerous ineptitude from multiple NHS doctors. I’ve also seen corruption in that if you know someone who works in the right department you can jump queues. So I’ve learned from experience to go private if I actually need medical aid.
- Comment on Are there any genuine benefits to AI? 8 months ago:
It’s sped up my retouching workflows. I can automate things that a few years ago would’ve needed quite a lot of time spent with manual brush work.
Also in the creative industries, it’s a massive time saver for conceptual work. Think storyboarding and scamping, first stage visuals that kind of thing.
- Comment on How do conspiracy theorists get all of their coveted secret government information if it's meant to be hidden and the government would never hand it over? 8 months ago:
Evidence existing is a very low bar, It’s when it’s proved beyond reasonable doubt that it stops being a theory.

Where are you getting that definition from? Oxford’s is “a medium consisting of immersive computer-generated environments in which elements of a physical and virtual environment are combined.”
“visitors will be able to watch a tennis match broadcast in mixed reality”
