I wish using freetube kept Ernie calm, but it doesn’t work half the time. Invidious has the same issue.

Okay? I have literally no problem with 99% of vegans expressing their beliefs. The ONLY thing I mentioned was them calling people murderers. Glad you haven’t, but I have had that happen.
Yes, I’m quite aware vegans have a reason to be upset.
their just cause
Like I said. I even think they’re usually in the right.
- Comment on stop 2 months ago:
I mean, you are paying someone else to do those things for you.
That’s not exactly what’s going on. I believe a more apt way to describe it would be paying somebody that has harmed animals. This may sound like a distinction without a difference, but I don’t believe it is. Whether I buy pork at a grocery store or not, they aren’t going to kill any fewer pigs because of it. It’s not like the farm is going to butcher exactly one less pig because I stopped buying meat. If I decide not to buy pork chop the next time I go to a store, either somebody else buys the pork, it’s donated to a food bank right before expiry, or it’s just thrown away. The pig is already dead, and the meat goes somewhere regardless.
Unless you’re the type of person that eats meat every day, there is very little change you can make at an individual level. Of course, much like voting, change starts to happen once you get a lot of people to make that individual choice. Get 20 people to stop buying pork, and the store might order less. But at that point, I would argue it is far more of a societal issue. So while we are directly responsible for what happens to farm animals, I don’t think it’s at the level of us literally killing them ourselves.

Yeah, it’s really just chaotic neutral but fancier.
- Comment on stop 2 months ago:
Yes, I’m quite aware vegans have a reason to be upset. Unfortunately, equating eating meat or drinking milk to personally murderering and torturing animals is not going to earn them any fans, and will in fact push people away from their just cause out of spite.
That’s not at all relevant to the comment I was responding to, though.

I personally recommend watching all of GoT in order, not because it’s good, but because you won’t appreciate the flawless genius of S8E3 without the other 7 seasons of context.

adding that she splits tips with her manager and kitchen staff at the restaurant.
They don’t even let her keep her entire tips. The whole situation is fucked. Somebody mentioned in the article also brought up a great point…
“Today, this is a Filipino woman behind a screen, controlling a POS system — but it’s not crazy to believe that probably in the next six to twelve months, this could be an AI avatar doing all the same things,” he said.
What a shitty future we have.
- Comment on Youtube stopped working for me today when using uBlock Origin in Firefox or Vivaldi with anti-ad enabled. 4 months ago:
Unfortunately, that really doesn’t seem to be true. YT is a monopoly, they do what they want. None of my friends use firefox despite me explaining to them that ad blockers still work on it. They could spend 3 minutes switching to firefox and losing some of the niche features they have on Opera GX or whatever they hell they use, or they could just watch the occasional 5-second ad. They just don’t care enough. I imagine most users are more than likely like that.

Nobody likes voting for the lesser of two evils, but we all have to if we want to stop an even further decline into hell. Trump as president will have immediate and direct consequences for many people, and it will be the fault of people like you that it happened. At this point, not voting for Biden is the same thing as voting for Trump. You can continue virtue signaling after we get through the immediate crisis in front of us.

- Comment on After 10,000+ hours grinding, MapleStory's first level 300 player slams the brakes at 299.99 to rant about the MMO and then quit, all on a dev-promoted stream 6 months ago:
“Over here [in Heroic] it’s free-to-play friendly, by a considerable margin,” niru begins, talking over a graphic showing the player distribution between the world types, with Heroic leading in global MapleStory by some margin. “Pay-to-win is accepted here [in Interactive World], but the free-to-play experience is awful and that’s what needs to be improved right now.”
I get addiction is real and it’s not easy to quit for some people. What I don’t get is that the game apparently has a different world type that is just better and he’s actively choosing not to play it instead. That’s like picking to play P2W poker where you can buy better hands and then complaining that it’s not fun when you could just go play real poker at the next table instead. At some point I just lost sympathy for you.

Maybe they didn’t have the source. Again, we’re on the shitpost community. I think it’s unreasonable to expect people to research the sources for every meme that they shitpost. Especially when they’re a power-user like OP and post 30-some times a day.
- Comment on Progress! 6 months ago:
Sure, the source would have been nice. They’re not a jackass for not providing it though. Do you send the source every time you show a friend a meme?
- Comment on Progress! 6 months ago:
I wouldn’t call OP a jackass for not providing the source for a shitpost.

Think the original Lost but nearly all defensive items are removed from the item pool. On one hand that means no useless health ups clogging the item pools. On the other hand, that means no holy mantle or dead cat.
Overall I’d say that makes him a more consistent and more fun character, but I’m not sure if I’d call him easier. Losing the ability to find things like dead cat hurts.
IIRC (been almost a year since I’ve played Isaac), he has a higher damage stat as well, which is great.

Got up to the god dungeons in HCCO (never did 12B), dog tripped over my headset during a fight, I looked up and I was dead. That one hurt lol.
It’s still on my plans to try again at some point, maybe when the upcoming third DLC comes out.
- Comment on What are the best indie games you've ever played? 7 months ago:
Terraria is the easy pick for me. I believe the only game that comes even close to the amount of hours I have in it would be Minecraft.
Melvor Idle is an amazing game if you like the “idle” in idle games. I’ve 100%'d it and all the DLCs and still love playing it.
Cassette Beasts… I’m genuinely surprised I haven’t seen this game mentioned here. An absolutely amazing creature collector with a very unique twist on things, a great story, beautiful pixel art, and hands down the best game soundtrack I’ve ever heard.
