No, because I am using what I like.
- Comment on It's not just you — no one is posting on social media anymore 1 year ago:
WTF kind of logic is that? Something that you choose to do is not creepy. If they took your pics without telling you, then it would be creepy.
- Comment on It's not just you — no one is posting on social media anymore 1 year ago:
Show me the stats to back that up.
- Comment on It's not just you — no one is posting on social media anymore 1 year ago:
Yes, this is a social media hit piece. MSM hates social media because it’s a way for the public to circumvent their lies. The entire article is based on (likely fabricated) anecdotal evidence:
“It’s really bizarre to me that everyone’s gone to this place in their mind that content has to be so curated,” Bruening told us. “So curated that you can’t show what you’re cooking for dinner, because that’s not cool enough.”
Everyone? Did they take a global survey? Do they see my instagram feed? This person just has shitty friends. Or they are lying.
- Comment on Google kills two-year “Pixel Pass” subscription after just 22 months 1 year ago:
The Pixel Pass is basically just a bundle of optional services that can be added to your Fi account for a very slight discount.
$300 over 2 years is not slight.
I understand completely. This is profiteering and another example of google killing a product I like. Fuck google. They finally got me to switch to an iphone after buying Nexus/Pixel for a decade. I’m switching out of spite.
- Comment on Google kills two-year “Pixel Pass” subscription after just 22 months 1 year ago:
I have been a lifelong googler. Owned every Nexus phone and Pixel until the Pixel 6, when I got Pixel pass. They finally made me mad enough to switch to an iphone. I dislike Apple very much, but I can rely on their services still being around 2 years after they launch.
- Comment on India just landed on the Moon for less than it cost to make Interstellar | The Independent 1 year ago:
Can we not compare a science fiction film about traversing entire solar systems and fucking time travel to landing on the…moon?
- Comment on Coming to you soon... 1 year ago:
Youtube operated at a loss for many years. I think it still does. Google has many products. They take the profit from one product to offset the losses from youtube.

- Comment on YouTube’s anti-ad blocking test gets even pushier with a new timer 1 year ago:
I pay for youtube premium because I watch a lot of youtube and it is easily worth the price. I paid $12 to see oppenhimer and that was only 3 hours. I watch way more than 3 hours of youtube every week.
- Comment on YouTube’s anti-ad blocking test gets even pushier with a new timer 1 year ago:
ad blockers are not “on youtube”, they are on my devices
By the same logic, they can make any changes to youtube they want and that is perfectly OK. Youtube isn’t on your PC. It’s on their server. You don’t own that server.
- Comment on YouTube’s anti-ad blocking test gets even pushier with a new timer 1 year ago:
Who pays for the severs and billions of gigabytes of storage required to hold all those videos?
- Comment on What more need be said about it? 1 year ago:
Because if I don’t then all these rich fucks pave over everything, flood their neighbor’s land, block traffic, poison their customers, and sell houses that’ll collapse 10 minutes after The warranty expires.
That already happened and continues to happen. Because corporations bribe the government to allow it. They call it lobbying. And you know this. The feigned ignorance is comical. Why do ISPs own the rights to public telephone poles and prevent municipal internet? Because people like you gave the ISPs those rights.
- Comment on What more need be said about it? 1 year ago:
Yea, it’s a dump truck full of sand. Cities can’t build municipal fiber internet because spectrum owns the fucking pole. The assertion that this is an “environmental protection” is so insulting that my comment would be deleted if I told you what I really think about you.
- Comment on Google's Web DRM is Worse than I Thought... 1 year ago:
In the same way it’s not anti-competitive for Apple to require Safari on iOS.
Oh wait. It is. But only google and microsoft get in trouble and apple always gets a free pass.
- Comment on “We just lost 3TB of data on a SanDisk Extreme SSD” - The Verge 1 year ago:
Places like The Verge used to be staffed by actual enthusiasts because they were created by enthusiasts. Now they have been sold off to another conglomerate (Vox Media) whose primary goal is to maximize profit. That means getting rid of the competent journalists and hiring ignorant gen z morons who never accept responsibility for another. Every single problem in their life is someone else’s fault.
- Comment on BMW 1 year ago:
The people working at those corporations would have been murdered. You want people to commit suicide. That’s really the argument being made in this comment thread: people should commit suicide instead of taking immoral action under the threat of violence or death.
If someone puts a gun to my head and makes me choose between my life and your life, I’m choosing my life.

It means OK or acknowledged. It does not mean “fuck you”. People who think it means “fuck you” are the only people having a bad time with this.

I have reached “that” age, it would appear.
Me too. Glad to be here. Why the fuck does anyone care that children apply nonsensical meaning to emojis? People actually waste time thinking about this? If a teenager told me there was something wrong with using the thumbs up emoji I would laugh at them, give a sarcastic OK, and move along.

Let me guess: pornography of legal adults was being considered CSAM? Because 20 year olds make some prudes self-conscious. I got banned from a reddit sub for pointing out that Belle Delphine is 23 years old because a woman wanted to divorce her husband for watcher Belle porn, because she is a child, according to the wife. Yea these people exist.
- Comment on Why is there such a large amount of communist and transgender related posts on the Fediverse compared to other websites? 1 year ago:
Talking openly about your opposite-gender spouse, kissing or holding hands with your partner, going out for a nice date - whatever. These are all totally normal things which people won’t blink at when a heterosexual couple is doing it, yet LGBT people can still be discriminated against for these behaviours.
Intentionally making a post on social media to advertise what you do in the bedroom is not the same as people holding hands IRL. This is a false equivalence. And this it is something I have an issue with.
I fully support everyone’s right to fuck whoever you want. I also don’t want to know about it.

Yes it is. The level of “unpredictability” varies greatly. And it is obvious which governments pose a higher risk.
- Comment on Google raising price of YouTube Premium to $13.99 per month 1 year ago:
I like how you can insult people by calling them a shill because they support youtube premium, but if I insult you, mods delete me comment. Nice double standards. You are a child who thinks they are entitled.
