Is the second game really “meh”? I enjoyed the first one but that was because I got stupidly high everytime I play. There has been moments where I would sober up and question why everyone in a town hates me and why is everyone dead. Don’t remember the details either, epic games corrupted my save and I gave up.
- Comment on What is immersion to you? 1 week ago:
Don’t get me wrong, I am currently playing planescape torment and love it but seeing everyone else’s response is actually blowing my mind a bit. I mean like, I love me my disco elysium’s and factorio-like games, but the thing that really sucks me in and gives me a shit ton of adrenaline are fps and boomershooters.
Something about chasing people down, watching all corners, and/or running for cover is just addicting.
I really wish I could get the same level of immersion with rpg’s but I guess I’m not that type of person ;_;

I hate microsoft but really liked windows phone and cortana. Something about tiles made a lot of sense and the keyboard was clean af.
I am very sure they were the first to have url bar above the keyboard in their browser WHICH WAS VERY HELPFUL BECAUSE YOUR FINGERS ARE ALREADY AT THE BOTTOM HALF OF THE PHONE LIKE OMFG.
like there was so many little things they did that just worked and worked well. rip windows phone, i will tell my grandkids about you.
- Comment on ARC Raiders - anyone else looting in their sleep? 4 weeks ago:
when rainbow six first came out, I realized if was very easy to take my phone out and watch something while a person turned their back at me. i dont really know why but at the very peak of my addiction, i would try to be as sneaky as possible, walk across a room, take my phone camera out, take a picture, then continue walking forward like nothing happened lmfao.
parents should have gotten me tested for the tism but idk maybe 18yr old was too late x_x

I have been meaning to respond earlier but I fell asleep x_x.
i think i need to re-evaluate where I draw rhe line. you are 100% right and shit, if I could remove anti-cheat for a title, it would def be this one because its such a gem compared to other games.
I honestly haven’t played it since pvp came out and don’t really remember when easy anti-cheat was added. Even though the company does put effort in getting the linux version eac working, shits still wrong and tbh normies like me should be thinking more about it.
- Comment on Vermintide 2 is currently free on Steam 2 months ago:
noooo, please ;_; please give the game a chance. I def does work on linux and has prob one of the best gameplay and characters ever. I have 300+ hours (ik it’s small but still)and I fucking love this game. Every massive update they release is included in the base game which honestly feels pretty rare nowadays and even then. One of the main reasons why I ever got into warhammer and not even the 40k stuff.
- Comment on Years later, Arkane’s Dishonored is still a modern stealth classic 2 months ago:
Okay one thing I have definately noticed in L4d is that I am never stationary or still long enough to feel bored. Almost every other fps pve game is just “stand on top of hill and gun down hordes of zombies”.
Modern games feel like we are going backwards in gameplay. Atleast the graphics are nice I guess?

okay so from what ive searched up, hdmi standard was a collaberation between hitachi, panasonic, maxell, philips, silicon image, sony, vantiva, and toshiba. Furthermore it “won” the support from a lot of entertainment companies like universal, warner, and disney.
;_; so basically, even though they came together to make a universal system, they spent money on it and therefore need to make the most out of it. All other manufacturers just follow along.

This is the initial vibes I got but then again I might be bias because I’m already familiar with steam. Honestly, it might be better if valve added 2 to the end of their products. For example, The nothing phone company tried to do something “unique” with their earbuds but all that did was confuse the shit out of people. I think they reverted back to numbering them.
But then on the flip side, sony is infamously known to name all their products with a shit load of numbers… so tbh this can go either way lmao

oh im pretty sure this purely market competiton, not between the two ports but between manufactures.
like if you want to compete with a company (ex.sony) who is making x tv with hdmi, ideally you want a similar product available that has the same ports. The goal is to sell into peoples already existing ecosystem and sadly its hdmi dominant.
one time when I was presenting in class, my laptop only had displayport and I just stood there like a dumbass waiting for my files to be avail on a donor pc. Is dp superior? yeah, but the whole world is hdmi :[

Maybe its the norm in the gaming community like what the heck is a “NEW” nintendo 3ds lol. At this point everyone needs to fire their marketing team.

then again i think xbox is doing alright with their crazy similar names.

I’m trying to think of a scenario where someone would think twice about purchasing a steam machine just because a product from 10 years ago bombed in sales.
This would require them to ignore the recent success of the steam deck… which is basically impossible.
Therefore, I have doubts that the name alone would have ANY direct impact on sales.

i recently purchased a 8bitdo controller and just want to mention that although it’s an amazing controller, I did have trouble getting the software to work in order to rebind buttons. just a heads up!
Other than that, great controller, feels nice, most of them are cheaper than official xbox or ps controller, happy with my purchase

if we going by quantity, I think 2007 was the most stacked, like omg the amount of hype for these games at the cafeteria lunch table was insane. www.imdb.com/list/ls087306278
it honestly feels weird hearing people call these games “classics” xd I am NOT ready for this!

If I remember correctly (from my mom who grew up in Taiwan) asus, acer, and msi(?) used to be one giant company that was split into three. so it doesnt really surprise me that their design teams share some cringe similarities ( okay i mean like ik this split was a long time ago but like they all do the same thing).
i always thought rog (republic of gamers) was just a play on roc (republic of china aka taiwan). Im just waiting for gigabyte to come out with peoples republic of gamers

I dont play a lot of chess and I’m bad at it but I recommend playing chess puzzles or timed chess. If it helps, just think of it as a mini skermish on one area of the “map”.
While there is competitive chess, I think the advantage it has over most things is that many people know how to play and that most of the time its a casual background game. Like you aren’t trying to win, you are trying to not lose.
When someone is playing at a house party, it’s so much fun to make wierd faces after they played a move or so.
- Comment on Unlike in movies, most smart people aren't good in chess. 9 months ago:
Yeah… everytime I see it in movies I kinda cringe. However it still is an effective narrative tool to say that the person is a stategist or is in a higher tax bracket ( or honestly any quality that the common viewer doesn’t have). Even so, I wish writers would stop doing this.
