It’s really sad that every release from prusa seems to be a rushed semifinished mess that over promises and severely under delivers. The XL was a mess when it released, and only sort of fixed shortcomings with half-assed solutions, the core one was a mess, and now this INDX is an absolute shitshow. If the timeline had seemed rushed you might understand it, but the INDX release has taken ages and been delayed significantly since announced.

the core one was a mess
How so? I have one and think it’s a solid upgrade from my old MK3S.

For a good long while there were artifacting issues with the Core One that the MK4/S didn’t have running on largely the same motors and electronics.

I got and assembled my INDX upgrade last week and tbh I can’t say I agree with this in my. experience. YMMV, I’m also not a expert mass printing person.

The visibility and restricted access to the hotend is the main issue for me, as it’s not something that can be fixed by software. I asked the college I work for to buy the INDX upgrade, but I regret it a bit.
domi@lemmy.secnd.me 19 hours ago I have an INDX kit laying around, sounds like by the time I get around to build it sometime next year, things should be working…

This is the kind of review we need for printers.
Very informative.

Made with layers has been doing this for a while now. Love their reviews.
