Because no one is watching this shit.

Filament drying is YouTube delusion.
Cue “hydroscopic, meaning plastic absorbs water”.
- Comment on Solid-state battery hits 381 Wh/kg as Taiwan mass production begins 5 days ago:
Of course it is. It’s not rare and can be recycled.
- Comment on Solid-state battery hits 381 Wh/kg as Taiwan mass production begins 5 days ago:
260 Wh/kg in a good modern battery.
- Comment on What the humidity level in your area? 1 week ago:
Thomas Sanladerer soaked rolls in a bucket of water to prove a point.
- Comment on What the humidity level in your area? 1 week ago:
People who obsess about filament because of YouTube drying end up driving off volatile plasticizers and ending up with brittle filament that ruins a roll.
Like every fucking YouTube video has to explain what hydroscopic means like we’re in grade 7 science class.

Rebar. Yes, there is no rebar and these houses are cracking and falling apart.

Stone is horrible for insulation.
- Comment on 3D printing a house 1 week ago:
The people who thought 3D printed houses were innovative had no idea how houses are built.
- Comment on 3D printing a house 1 week ago:
Sure, pretend like European clay roofing tiles do not blow off and European stonework isn’t a patch quilt of continuous repair.
- Comment on 3D printing a house 1 week ago:
3D house printing has been a scam from day one. Not cheaper, not faster, not more reliable and they cannot be altered or upgraded in the future. Questionable R values.
These turds got pinched out but will all be knocked down in a decade.

The odds of winning most lotteries vastly exceed getting hit by lightning more than once.
The Fermi paradox and alien sightings is entirely explained by the inability of the human mind to understand one light year.

- Comment on Heavy cannabis users have been found to have nearly four times the odds of developing schizophrenia or psychosis compared to non-users, according to a Kings College Meta-Analysis 3 weeks ago:
The problem is weed 1960s-80s was not like weed today, THC doses are much higher. 15-20X. Schizophrenia in Canada is way up, double 20 years ago, and our ERs now see Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome (CHS), psychosis, paranoia, panic attacks and a bunch of cardiac issues.
Our fucking idiot broski PM at the time legalized cannabis, but did not regulate the dosage.
- Comment on Heavy cannabis users have been found to have nearly four times the odds of developing schizophrenia or psychosis compared to non-users, according to a Kings College Meta-Analysis 3 weeks ago:
Cannabis users also self medicated for psychological issues. but in Canada, post legalization Schizophrenia is on the increase and higher than comparable countries. The prevalence has doubled since 2002. Cannabis was legalized in 2018, but use and simple possession was not enforced before that.
- Comment on Heavy cannabis users have been found to have nearly four times the odds of developing schizophrenia or psychosis compared to non-users, according to a Kings College Meta-Analysis 3 weeks ago:
If so, are we seeing a proportionate uptick in schizophrenia and psychosis diagnoses in places where recreational cannabis use has been legalized?
This graph was from our Right wing rag, so of course they blame immigrants.
- Comment on Advanced sodium-ion battery prototypes now approaching 200 Wh/kg 3 weeks ago:
Sodium cells last about half as many cycles as lithium. Poor choice for a car.

25% less than lithium.

At room temperature 25C. In colder environments, lithium is shit.
- Comment on Advanced sodium-ion battery prototypes now approaching 200 Wh/kg 3 weeks ago:
They don’t. Outside of the lab, they just recalibrate and call 95% “100”.

- Comment on Prusa releases upgrades for Core One+, Core One L, and XL 4 weeks ago:
A reliable printer with three good tools would be the solution. The closest to that is still Snapmaker. I have no idea what Bambu was thinking with 1 1/2 heads, but until this industry figures out their shit, I’m not buying a multi tool head printer. I’m waiting on Creality because they promise to take TPU seriously, but they always underdeliver. Looks like number of toolheads is the new multi razor.

And people wonder why I have avoided Prusa. Always the same hobbyist hacker mentality and selling beta versions that take years to finally work. Just call it COMMUNITY.
