It’s not white hot yet. I think we still have a few MHz of headroom.
Overclocking gone wild

Maybe add a few hundred amps as well.

I was servicing an arcade game room at a campground, and had a Cruis’n USA in which the picture looked a bit dim. I take the back panel off of the game, and see a 2cm hole burned through the Sharp Image monitor’s chassis (circuit board) where there presumably used to be a resistor. It was still working, nobody complained about smoke or a smell?!

A lot of kids, a lit of screaming, yelling, cheering… no wonder 🤷.

Light emitting diode.

It’s ok to be a little burnt out through-hole resistor, you just need to stop being under so much voltage. You don’t need to carry all that current.
More Current!
Resistor, No!
MORE CURRENT!

evil laugh while resistor melts…

Is this the breakthrough in nuclear fusion I’ve been hearing about

Apparently it wasn’t as hard as everyone thought it would be.

That’s the igniter for the afterburner, you ain’t seen nothin’ yet.

Just as soon as it hits operating temperature it’ll ignite and woosh!

This is called an LER. Light Emitting Resistor.

I think it’s just an incandescent light nubbin at this point.
