Yeah, you have to be wary of using tips from Q, it can feel right but there are reasons for concern, misuse can cause unintended consequences.

It’s just a convention look the proper tense is willen haven beenen III esq. but when you got as deep into time travel as star trek did it was easier just to use past tense all the time
