In WW2 we were told Hitler was a danger but not to us directly. Iraq was for WMD''s. Now Iran is for oil basically? What if the US got out of other peeps stuff and went isolationist for about 10 years

    Yeah, the US didn’t enter WWII to do an imperialism, it was attacked by a nation and declared war on that nation.

  The last time the US went isolationist, the League of Nations collapsed, Fascism spread from Italy to Spain and Germany, Japan went full military dictatorship.

  China and Russia are not going to magically become isolationist just because the US does. The world would not become better or worse, just different people suffering because other nations have more time to oppress them instead of positioning against the US.

  There’s a middle ground between not starting imperialistic wars and isolationism. The isolationist period of the US was just as bad.

  I mean to be clear, killing civillians is a bad thing, but letting Iran’ government having nukes is also a terrible thing.

  Its not like an all or none. Its possible to “intervene” without civillian deaths.

  If only we could just take out their dictators with precison strikes without harming any civillians. (I mean with how advanced the US military supposedly is, I don’t see how they couldn’t just execute such a strike)

  That said, a republican having control of the US arsenel is another horrible thing… I mean like we should just give it to blue states honestly…

    I never understood it but remembers Saddam’s last words to soldiers. That he played he had WMD because of Iran. And said I ran is going to be holy hell when war happens.

  Germany, Iraq, Iran… they all didn’t have Rothschild-run central banks (in turn, controlled by the Jesuit Order). Germany and Iraq nowadays have one controlled by the Jesuits, but not Iran’s.

  This is why Iranians are considered “terrorists”.
