So there was a whole referendum and campaign to stop indigenous peoples from having this, but I guess if it’s white christian lobbyists with money they can just do it then.

No but you don’t understand… the Indigineous people would have used a special voice to parliament to gain unfair benefits over everyone else and push their own agendas. Religious leaders are completely apolitical and no agenda.

Do I really need to add the /s?

      Just in case: /S

    I don’t think I like Albo anymore.

Up until the last election we had a 2 party system. Yes minor parties had influence but government swung between the ALP and LNP.

Now it seems as though, rather than using his majority and mandate for progressive change, Albo has decided to consume the liberal vote by adopting some right leaning behaviors. Inviting that Israeli asshole was a scumbag move. This kind of thing is more of the same.

Albo has decided to consume the liberal vote by adopting some right leaning behaviors.

What I’ve never understood is, don’t they realise those people will never vote for them? The libs will always be the party of the right, it doesn’t matter what labor does or says.

Nah, there’s plenty of liberal voters who will vote for the ALP.

There’s plenty more liberal voters who will not, and will vote for the nationals or PHON, but there’s enough centrists who will vote for the ALP to make this strategy worth while.

Why not give the Christian nationalists more power? What could go wrong?

JFC, either be right-wing or left-wing. Don’t they realize if they try and go halfsies they alienate the left and never get the right because those fanatics are voting for their Make Australia Great Again party no matter how "both sides"Labour tries to get? Is this incompetence or intentional sabotage?

The Labor party have been centrists for decades, they’re just leaning into it even harder now.

Australian Socialists (Vic Socialists going national) and Socialist Alliance exist, and probably others I don’t know exist. Hell, even the Greens are somewhat more left wing than Labor (despite having a really stupid internal party structure which is a bit dictatorial).

Left wing voters need to wake up and realise the “Labor” party are a misnomer and have been for a very long time.

      Looks like intentional sabotage.

The whole upper rung of Labor needs a cleanout, but particularly ‘Wishy-Washy’ Albanese and ‘Gravely Concerned’ Wong.

Yes, they want to avoid looking ‘unstable’ by having leadership challenges, but we’re at a stage where PHON is actually seeing a rise in popularity because of Labor’s enshittification (and because the LNP are shit, but that’s almost traditional)! Labor is actually at risk of losing the next federal election to the dregs of Morrison’s party, and/or the bigoted halfwit who’s accomplished nothing during all her time in politics but division!

Somebody please challenge Albanese for the leadership!

And while I’m having a rant, a conscience vote for Labor MPs would be nice, too!
