So there was a whole referendum and campaign to stop indigenous peoples from having this, but I guess if it’s white christian lobbyists with money they can just do it then.

No but you don’t understand… the Indigineous people would have used a special voice to parliament to gain unfair benefits over everyone else and push their own agendas. Religious leaders are completely apolitical and no agenda.
Do I really need to add the /s?

Why not give the Christian nationalists more power? What could go wrong?

JFC, either be right-wing or left-wing. Don’t they realize if they try and go halfsies they alienate the left and never get the right because those fanatics are voting for their Make Australia Great Again party no matter how "both sides"Labour tries to get? Is this incompetence or intentional sabotage?

I don’t think I like Albo anymore.
Up until the last election we had a 2 party system. Yes minor parties had influence but government swung between the ALP and LNP.
Now it seems as though, rather than using his majority and mandate for progressive change, Albo has decided to consume the liberal vote by adopting some right leaning behaviors. Inviting that Israeli asshole was a scumbag move. This kind of thing is more of the same.
