It’ll be twice as fast as the old model, which will somehow make absolutely no difference to your web browsing and Balatro habit.

Wait until they get to the end of level one and have to turn the tape over and press play.

Ironic though that gamification refers to features added to games to make them feel more like jobs (quotas, deadlines, certification etc).

- Comment on Victorians could soon have the right to work from home two days a week under Australian-first laws 2 days ago:
If like that. I’m on 3 days in, which means on a short week I just have to be in three days in a row, which is quickly exhausting.

- Comment on Half of UK councils still use pesticides in public places, research finds 2 days ago:
Our council stopped spraying the street during COVID because a couple of helpful people opted us out on our behalf without consulting anyone. A year on it looked like The Last Of Us.

Labour will lose this war against their own voters.

They’re mad because they wanted to do that first by releasing Ubisoft style annual instalments.
- Comment on Avatar (the one with the blue aliens) is such a weird franchise 4 days ago:
In “How To With John Wilson” he finds an actual Avatar fan group who like to dress up as blue aliens, but it still felt super niche for a multi billion dollar film series. It’s like everyone simply forgets about it when there’s not one on in cinemas.

We called the basic movement of the grabbers in Defender AI to distinguish it from the fixed movement of Space Invaders. We still call that AI in modern videogames.

What is it with Neo-Liberal governments and implementing over-reaching state controls that will eventually grant a tyrant unprecedented levels of control over public life?

- Comment on UK Government responded to the "Repeal the Online Safety Act" Petition. 6 days ago:
Honestly, half the time the hereditary peers have been the only protection against our governments passing totally shit legislation, as the rest of the upper house is packed with useless political appointees. Not to say I wouldn’t replace the upper house with some sort of body of citizens similar to Jury Duty or somesuch to filter out the crazy.

I’d email my MP to ask why this Labour Government is using the BBC to promote Reform talking points and implementing brain dead Reform policies, but I don’t expect anything other than the blandest party line response.
