Say you have 2 homes (both are villas) (one is a normal home and the other is a vacation home (like a beach home probably)
Status/power: (tho within your own country so for my case that would be egypt)
Major general plus a tin factory business that even exports abroad from egypt if I’m not wrong
And say your distant family owns a resort too
So is that rich/upper class within egypt?
Also being able to go to 5 star resorts in egypt
(would this be rich)?

To answer your question, owning a factory which produces capital, assuming it’s solvent, would make you pretty squarely above middle class. You own means of production. You are bourgeoisie.

It’s sad that you have all that wealth and still feel empty enough inside to need to brag online.
Wrong community but i want to give this a fair assessment because of how many don’t want to unity against the rich thinking they are it and would have to live with less.
This scenario is not ruling class.
Summarised its wealthy business owner that owns plural properties.
This can be considered upper middle class, or low upper class. And is a good example of how little most people really have. The Middle class that most people believe they belong to is basically just business owners nowadays, almost everyone who is “employee” and not owner is lower class.
The actual rich, 1% upper class which will look at this family and person as dirt.
The 1% upper class does not just stay in a 5 star hotel as if it was note worthy expense. Their accommodations are simply arranged and provided.
They’d laugh at “owns a resort” because thats just a single asset to put on their portfolio of ownerships.
They don’t consider whether or not something is egypt because they are free to fly wherever they want.
The rich will swallow this wealthy person and family whole if their greed finds them.
I think you’re confusing the 1% with the 0.1 and 0.01 and 0.001% wealth tiers
Top 1% starts around a million USD but can vary slightly with cost of living. Even the 0.1% might only a few million dollars.
Only the top 0.01 to 0.001% have unlimited wealth
OP is at minimum in the 1% but likely in the 0.1%

I’m from Denmark. Most people here are middle class.
It is common to own a vacation house here, if that is your interest.
Owning a business is also very common here, you gotta make a living somehow. And sure, if you manufacture something, why not export.
I don’t know how common it is to go on 5 star hotels here. I don’t really look at the stars. But if the cheapest available hotel that fit my needs happens to be 5 star, then that’s where I go.
I’m definitely not rich here.
