Taking such a visible, public stance on gender-affirming surgery is bold in their circles. Be sure to tell them how you admire their courage in expressing such strong support for gender-affirming care and the trans community at large.

Republican and friend aren’t typically used to describe a single person.
You can add double quotes to “friend” if that helps.
So many of them refer to their truck as “she” and then slap some truck nuts on it. Definitely accurate even though they’d hate it.

I haven’t seen truck nuts in 20+ years, and I’m in the deep South. Is that still a thing in some places?
