Finally done with the jackhammering and wrapped up the day by hauling out all the rubble.
Surprisingly little water damage on the floor and walls, considering how bad it looked on the surface. I’m a bit intimidated by the scale of this job, even though I’ve done one before. Just need to break it down into tasks and focus on one step at a time instead of the whole thing at once.

When you do any kind of stone work, sanding, or grinding, PLEASE where a dust mask or filter. Its really not worth it to skip out.

I do, and I have a good one too. My issue however is that because of my beard none of them seal perfectly. I’ll likely just have to invest into a powered one at some point because I do this for living and there’s plenty of more dusty work ahead of me.

I very much want a PAPR as well. I seem to recall that there were some units that came out of COVID that are somewhat cheaper, at least.

Definitely invest sooner rather than later. Chronic lung diseases are a living hell.
