USBC came out of NBC and ABC and is the largest public service broadcaster in North America, and was once the largest broadcasting company in the world. Once publicly owned, it is now funded by a mixture of private interests and taxes, and has a government-appointed board of directors.

What happened to USB-A and USB-B?
mapu@slrpnk.net 1 day ago
USB-A is still in wide use, it’s what most people just call USB, it’s the non-reversible one that most thumbdrives use.
USB-B (which includes mini-USB and micro-USB, among others) is being slowly phased put in favour of USB-C
ouRKaoS@lemmy.today 1 day ago
USB-B is the big square one for printers.
