Just curious opp - what was the price of some of these?

not OP but they seem to retail those for around $11

$11 is way cheaper than i would have imagined for something that requires 5-6 hours of printing (on a $500-$1000 printer; the depreciation needs to be factored in the price), $2 of silk PLA, $2 of custom box and $5 of retailer markup

It says “imported” so probably made for a fraction of that in China.

Doing forget possible post processing, and factoring the cost of possible print fails.

If it was made by Hasbro it would be $1.75 of retailer markup and be told you are lucky enough to be blessed to carry hasbro products.

They were running at $9.99 if I remember correctly. Just finished a 5 hr drive, the stopover at Cracker Barrel was a pitstop en route.

My daughter’s friend got a 3d printer for Christmas (K1C) and started making bank printing anything he could find free off Cults.
This little kid - think he is 12 - is printing those dragons and everything else imaginable and taking them to school and selling them to classmates.
Am pretty sure my daughter told me that he was selling them from $20 up to some of his classmates. Whereas chump me will give them to friends for free.

That’s fair.
$10 retail
approx. $7 for the manufacturer
cost 2x “formular”: $3.5
With packaging, this might cost around $3 to make.

I see this kind of stuff everywhere and it really sells too. I don’t mind it if the creative commons agreements are being respected, but I have a feeling that in many cases people’s work is being abused.

Yeah, a couple years ago I saw a stand at a flea market selling 3D prints. Took me all of 2 minutes to find the original at home with a non-commercial license.
