I have realized that I have no frame of reference for what’s normal for a penguin. I always just assumed vaguely knee height and now I am seeing these 2m adult penguin graphics (extinct, but…)

Pesto the Penguin: named after delicious paste
Average 5-7yo child: semi-recently stopped eating only paste.

Literally this morning, I asked my two-year-old if he was hungry and he went into the kitchen and pointed at the Fusilli.

They’re turning back into terror lizards. They’re testing with penguins because they know humans will find it cute. Ten years from now when flocks of 10m tall ostriches are hunting us down, we won’t find it as cuddly.

But have we tried feeding a human infant 24kg of fish per week? Y’know, for science.
