And this, kids, is why we don’t determine our morality according to whether or not a behaviour is “normal.”
Comment on "Being vegan is unnatural"

Interesting that someone could look at a normal (albeit unpleasant) veterinary procedure and immediately think of beasiality.

There is nothing normal about shoving your entire arm up a cow’s asshole in order to slightly increase the chance of your artificial insemination working so you can murder its baby and drink all the milk produced to nurture that baby.
You’re sick.
JcbAzPx@lemmy.world 7 hours ago
That’s not what they’re doing. It’s more than a little weird you think so.
Goatboy@lemmy.today 11 hours ago
You’re looking at rape porn right now.
sfgifz@lemmy.world 11 hours ago
Thsts enough. An idiot stands out in the comments then they keep repeating the same comment to everyone.
Goatboy@lemmy.today 11 hours ago
How eugenicist of you.
This is either rape and the poster is sharing rape porn with zero concern for the victims or its not because they’re goddamn cows. You don’t get to have it both ways.

There’s chocy milk in them veins I can smell it.
JustAGuy@lemmy.org 20 hours ago
Murder and drink the milk xD. wheezing. Seriously though renting a bull cant be more expensive than a vet. Even a cattle auction has to be cheaper.

“Normal” in the context of industrial agriculture… Which has existed for less time than beastiality (source: idk might have made it up but it seems likely)
null@lemmy.org 22 hours ago
I wonder if they would use the same argument on a photo of someone receiving gender-affirming care.
bluefootedbooby@sopuli.xyz 15 hours ago
I have a feeling the person receiving gender-affirming care consented to it. On a risk of sounding like a creep, I will even say they asked for it.

99.9999% of people on here have no idea of how farming works
protogen420@lemmy.blahaj.zone 20 hours ago
it works by gruesome procedures

At my friend’s farm, they put a bull in the cow’s pen and let them figure it out. People raised bulls specifically for breeding and nobody got in the way of a bull and a cow doing their business. That was 30 some years ago. I guess at some point people just needed more cows phacking in their ranch.

My grandparents used to do that on their farm - hire a fucking massive bull and let it run with the heifers for a bit and ‘let nature takes it’s course’.
They also got the vet in to do the AI if it turned out the bull wasn’t doing enough fucking.
Hardly call it a ranch though - just a pastoral smallholding.
HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 16 hours ago
Oh hey, it works that way at my family’s farm too
Landless2029@lemmy.world 15 hours ago
I read a comment on how farmers castrate sheep with thier own teeth. Supposed to be the safest way. Use both hands to hold the legs so you don’t get your face bashed.

yeah it’s a thing…

“Is it possible I’ve completely missed the point? No, it must be everybody else here who’s wrong!”
blimthepixie@lemmy.dbzer0.com 13 hours ago
What’s a large contingent of basement dwelling, star trek obsessed Linux nerds going to know about farming?
Joking aside, if I didn’t see this growing up I’d probably react the same
skisnow@lemmy.ca 13 hours ago
…and, without any sense of introspection whatsoever, continuing to miss the point…
