Interestingly enough, I’m 80% sure, because it was a weekday, and I sat in the exact same spot for all of high school. The 20% are for the possibility I was sick, in the bathroom, or had a special class I had to leave our classroom for.

Remembering those who died in service maybe…
“The 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month” is when WW1 ended and is held as Remembrance Day across Europe .
BootLoop@sh.itjust.works 1 day ago
And Canada. I don’t remember it specifically but I am certain I was sitting in my school gym for a Remembrance Day assembly.

i remember 8/8/88 8:8:8, it was at the start of elementary school day, most kids didn’t care as much, my little mind though was big deal
bvoigtlaender@feddit.org 1 day ago
No way! It was actually the same with me on 12/12/12 12:12:12. I spent the better part of that day trying to explain to my high school class chat why it is a big deal (it is the last one like that until 2100, with two digits being the same). Nobody was in any way as thrilled about it as i was. I sat on the couch in the living room when the 12th second struck. Won’t be forgetting that anytime soon…

Have a family member born on 08/08/08. Easy to remember that one.

my son was born 2/24/22, 2 days too late for 2/22/22, so i tell people when they ask for his birthday: same day Russia invaded Ukraine

My son was 12/13/10, 2 days and it would have been 12/11/10

Did you account for timezones? First fights started at 3:40 a.m. Kyiv time.

Probably heading to the city centre to pick up a copy of Skyrim for Xbox 360.
I got home, did my NaNoWriMo writing sprint, and then fired up Skyrim and played like 12 hours straight.
DmMacniel@feddit.org 1 day ago
Sitting at home, playing Skyrim.

Blood on the Ice was possibly the most bug-filled quest I’ve ever encountered!
WALLACE@feddit.uk 23 hours ago
I replayed that game so many times and I think that mission only played through properly once
samus12345@sh.itjust.works 1 day ago
Most likely sleeping. I worked a night shift at the time. I definitely remember where I was at midnight the night before, though: picking up Skyrim at Gamestop to take home for my wife to play (I went in to work late to get it).
darkdemize@sh.itjust.works 1 day ago
On a military base in Afghanistan, ironically enough.
Naz@sh.itjust.works 6 hours ago
Yes. Playing Skyrim.
