Imagine being the woman who drags herself in there, still mostly asleep, orders her coffee, gets it free?, drinks it, goes outside and sees this
That’d be pretty fucking gross
Wait, does the barista want a closer look?

Can we fucking get over the Pearl clutching on the left and just laugh. Especially with jokes like this. I grew up with the idea that the right were Puritans and somehow the left adopted this ugly tight ass unfunny world view and it sucks.

I use a virtue signaling app that is updated everyday. It gives me all the things that I have to be against or for. Checked this morning and “camel toe” is under the “bad” items. So to show my virtue I must be against it.

I love V-Sig! Personally I also have the notification app D’Whisl and my daily devotional app IdioLogs to help me further shape my group think. Haven’t had an original thought in decades.

Thinking for ourselves is just so much work. Even though most of the directives are idiotic or outright lies it’s just easier to go along with it. Hell, what is reality anyway. I used to question things that were complete lies but it took so much out of me. Now I just accept them. Hell maybe in a parallel universe they are the truth.

IdioLogs is a great brand name

The think the objection is that this is specifically targeted at women, and it’s something that someone might be self conscious about.
“Free coffee to shortest/tallest/skinniest/fattest man” would be also be offensive IMHO, because it’s singling out people for a trait for which they maybe don’t want to be singled out.
Crude humor is great, if all parties are in on the joke; I believe the point that parent was making was that all parties are not necessarily in on the joke.

And that’s ok you know that. Seriously. Some people actually want to be the joke. It’s not mean or malicious it’s a funny sign shop. I just wish we could all understand it’s ok to be made fun of. Life is more tolerable and enjoyable when we can laugh at ourselves and often that only comes from jokes that people have been trying to sanitize or act offended over lately…

I’ve no idea why finding this funny or not is a political spectrum issue. Like even if you wanted to say people of one side or another would be more likely to find it funny or not you shoehorning it in here feels pretty fucking weird, like you were waiting to make it a political thing.
TowardsTheFuture@lemmy.zip 1 day ago
Could you… explain how it’s funny?
Cuz… what?
There’s a big difference between seeing someone with major camel toe and laughing about it vs this weird creepy predator shit.

Can we on the left have some people enjoy a joke and others find it offensive without posting an essay about why either everybody or nobody should find it offensive?

No, essays are cool. More essays.
