Predictability can be important in music, depending on what you’re doing. If the audience can’t follow your rhythm, they won’t enjoy the music. I assume you’re a different audience, that’s fine too.
Having a boring rhythm doesn’t mean the rest of the music has to be boring :)

I mean I understand you might prefer other rhythms but now you’re just being edgy :D
- Comment on Metal genres 2 days ago:
It’s just easy and intuitive. It’s a steady beat, and then you halve the intervals and halve those again.
Triplets are also quite common.

Isn’t that just the “default” rhythm for most music?

Can we on the left have some people enjoy a joke and others find it offensive without posting an essay about why either everybody or nobody should find it offensive?

- Comment on Vibe Shift in AI Coding: Senior Developers Ship 2.5x More Than Juniors 5 days ago:
Makes sense I guess. A senior already knows what the possible approaches are, and knows the correct terminology. They will be able to give a much more precise prompt, and a better review.
A junior needs to figure stuff out for themselves, and that’s good.
Personally I avoid AI because it’s just more enjoyable to write code than to review and change it.

Good point, there was also an ethics module in my engineering studies, but it didn’t really encourage you to think about where you’re employed, just what to do what you’re there. Which is useless

100%.
Children are always told that they could become a scientist or engineer one day and that this would be a great thing to achieve. Scientists and engineers are so highly regarded, yet they are often complicit in creating the necessary technology and machinery for most of the worlds worst projects. Climate change, plastic pollution, nuclear weapons, are all created by the worlds smartest and all the while they’re being told they’re doing a great job and bettering the world.
Ethics needs to be mandatory in all STEM studies. Jesus at least just make them watch Oppenheimer.

My shoulders have grown calloused and stiff from the weight of the innocent lives I guide to their myriad destinations. Day in, day out, I command this dragon of steel in their service. My feet and hands puppeteer this ferrous beast in arcane rhythms, a symphony of gears and fire known by few and heard by none. For this deed, I take no reward, no reimbursement, save for the standard remuneration of a monthly salary, which, quite ironically, is nothing to ride home about.

zionist vibes. The whole argument is, that by supporting Palestine, you must support Hamas, because every last Palestinian is a murdering savage. Which is a Zionist talking point
