deranger@sh.itjust.works 7 months agoI use an electric mower and do it early as fuck sometimes, like as soon as the sun comes up. Super quiet.
I had an electric mower, I always hated the cord and it was a real cheap thing with a very small footprint.
It got the job done, but instead of taking 15 minutes it took me 30.
I’ll invest in a nicer electric one once my current gas powered one dies for sure.
Just return to scythe. It’s faster then you would think.
And sharping the blade is manly as fuck and fun!

This seems like the best option. I didn’t realize how expensive electric lawn mowers were these days!
I bought one for under €100 including the battery. That’s pretty low power and would not be much fun for anything over 100m^2^. But you also have to consider maintenance and fuel efficiency which usually makes TCO less for electric devices.
Modern electric mowers use batteries, and they’re awesome.

Anecdotal, but the only lawn mower I can hear of my 3 neighbors is the electric one. The noise it makes is the worst drone and it pierces.
