- Comment on Trump and Musk aren’t the first to make deep cuts. Clinton-era Reinventing Government saved billions 1 week ago:
I think no one that downvoted actually read the article.
To be fair, it’s an unlucky title. My reaction at first, was also negative.
I must admit, i had forgotten about Clinton’s Reinventing Government. Probably because it was a pretty boring affair for people not involved and his other not-so-boring affair kept the nation busy anyway.

I think they meant this as general advice for all lemmings and not your particular post, which btw is very much appreciated.

It is assessed as having the conservation status of least concern by IUCN. In June 2018, the New Zealand Department of Conservation classified R. pacifica as “not threatened” with the qualifier “data poor” under the New Zealand Threat Classification System.
So, feeding the threat classification system with poor data, makes it classify the specimen as “not threatened”?

Holy Shit!
I didn’t expect to read such a doom-inducing piece today. This is so full of really bad news, it’s almost funny that it gets to us at this moment. It’s like humans don’t have enough urgent problems at hand.
The industrialization would have been great for humankind, if we wouldn’t succumb to greed.
Now Microplastics will team up with Climate Change, just to make sure we humans are weeded out fast. This way, life on Earth would still be able to possibly recover, maybe.
- Comment on What do I do? 3 weeks ago:
It was harder than i thought, but i didn’t call off work.
I’ll probably get laid off anyway, because we’re having trouble acquiring new clients.
- Comment on What do I do? 4 weeks ago:
Exactly my dilemma tonight. If i call work off one more time, I’m laid off.
Guess I’ll find out what I’m made of tomorrow morning.

Interesting
After the compartment had cooled down, it was visually inspected. A few cracks at the surface of the gypsum boards were seen, but all of them remained in place. The inner gypsum board layer was undamaged except for some discolouring under the joints of the outer layer. The protected CLT back wall was undamaged.

Lots of stores here in Germany also kept the plexiglass between the cashier and the customer. Supermarkets all kept them. Also the signs recommending distance stayed put.

It had 2 alternative “normal” answers, both on topic and in scope of what he was asking.
It later admitted that the answer wasn’t adequate ( i wonder how and who got it to say this )
But, yeah this one answer is eerie in its complete annihilation of one human being’s worth of being alive.
“This is for you, human” makes it sound like it is sentient.
“You and only you” gave me goosebumps.
I know, it’s just gathering answers from all kinds of sources it was trained with, but hell no

True, but not everybody is built the same. I can imagine someone being so uncomfortable with it, that it would detract from the exercise…
