They won’t, they’re addicted (I say this as a sporadic TT user). Look at how shit FB has gotten, yet people still hang around.
The only positive for TT for me personally was that the bot problem wasn’t as bad on it compared to other social media. I bet that will change pretty quickly.

As someone who didn’t like Max Payne as much as other others, I’m loving this new era of Remedy.
That being said, I’m waiting for them to integrate it into the AlanWakeControlQuantiumBreakiverse (or whatever we’re calling it) somehow through the remakes.

You may be right. Disney sent a cease and desist to Google right before this “partnership” with OpenAI was announced. Seems like Disney wants to integrate and control AI using their IP on their own terms.

- Comment on Windows 11 Finally Fixes "Update and Shut Down" Functionality After a Decade 1 month ago:
I thought it was pretty clear that they were joking, as stuff like this also happens in open software and can take ages to fix (if it’s even kept up to date for a lot of niche software), and most of us use SOME sort proprietary software even if there’s a bigger % of open source enthusiasts on Lemmy.
That’s why the Android/iOS comment was even more out of place.

- Comment on America could have avoided all of this with a functional justice system 2 months ago:
He got the popular vote in 2024. Not against Hillary in 2017. That’s my whole point, this whole situation would not even be happening if the presidential election system in the US wasn’t such a mess.
- Comment on America could have avoided all of this with a functional justice system 2 months ago:
No, they didn’t? Like only 1/3 of the states actually “matter” during an election because of the electoral college, and they are all gerrymandered to shit thanks to Republican redistricting efforts and suppressed via ID laws going all the way back to Reagan, if not earlier.
Voters are a convenient scapegoat, but remember, Clinton won the popular vote in 2016. We shouldn’t even have had a first Trump term in an actual representative democracy.

I just wanted up-to-date travel conditions in a convenient widget. My taxes already pay for the meteorology, why do they need to sell my data too??

OH I see it now. Yeah, the area with Aerith’s house is gorgeous, and I was already enamoured with it in the OG with PS1 graphics. Remake really is great with the environments.

- Comment on TikTok’s Algorithm to Be Secured by Oracle in Trump-Backed Deal 2 months ago:
I’m already in the EU, so under the UK branch of the subsidiary. Theoretically, I would be immune to the algorithm manipulation from the US. In practice, who knows. The UK hasn’t really been pushing back against US Tech interferences.
- Comment on TikTok’s Algorithm to Be Secured by Oracle in Trump-Backed Deal 2 months ago:
With Twitter going down, TT was my next best option for finding niche artiste and fandoms. My algorithm on there was really good with showing me new artists and fandom creators to follow. Idk where I’m gonna go now.

It’s so interesting that the Roche fight is where you felt the combat click, because it was the exact same for me! The game got waaaay more enjoyable once that happened, haha.
I know people dog on the remake for not being the OG/overpriced/a scam/whatever, but I really enjoyed my play through.

In all seriousness, the real reason is clear, conservatives love telling on themselves:
Schriver’s bill also has a transphobic component. If adopted into law, the act includes prohibitions on material that “includes a disconnection between biology and gender by an individual of one biological sex imitating, depicting, or representing himself or herself to be of the other biological sex.”

but I liked my two favourite characters getting a lot of screen time, and Yuta finally entering the main story for the CG arc.

- Comment on Today’s game consoles are historically overpriced 3 months ago:
You misunderstood: current gen* isn’t* getting price drops while previous gen usually did. Current gen PS5/Pro and Xbox Series S/X are all actually more expensive now factoring in inflation than at launch. Since the Switch 2 literally launched two months ago, we can’t really talk about price drops for it, so we compare the Switch 1. The article headline is correct, and all of this is in the body of the article.
- Comment on Today’s game consoles are historically overpriced 3 months ago:
That’s not what this article is talking about though. It’s talking about how single generation consoles don’t get any price drops anymore. The comparison isn’t Switch 1 vs Switch 2 prices, it’s launch Switch 1 vs current Switch 1 prices.
