- Comment on What would remain for a future species if humans were to vanish tomorrow? 1 week ago:
Very little, if anything, would remain of our civilization in five or six million years. At least I wouldn’t think so, aside from what we have floating in outer space. Six million years is an awfully long time, and it’s not like our consumer-based society builds things to last…
- Comment on The sheer amount of acronyms used to explain my behavior is beginning to look like the eye-chart at the vision clinic. 1 week ago:
This has not been my experience, unfortunately.

- Comment on Without the precursor of Spirituality and Religion, there can be no morality. 2 weeks ago:
I believe someone else used the term ‘sealioning’. It fits, in your case. This is why I don’t see any point in having a debate with you. Waste your time with someone else.

Never a waste of time to speak truth.
- Comment on Without the precursor of Spirituality and Religion, there can be no morality. 2 weeks ago:
I see no need to do this.
- Comment on Without the precursor of Spirituality and Religion, there can be no morality. 2 weeks ago:
I would argue that morality came before religion or spirituality, and therefore does not require either or them to exist.
- Comment on Having the ability to lie and manipulate with no remorse will get you much further in this world than having morals and being correct 2 weeks ago:
One doesn’t do the right thing to be rewarded or to ‘get ahead’. One does the right thing because it’s the right thing to do. Selfishness only leads to insecurity and loneliness.
- Comment on It used to be just weird Christians, but now everyone's pretty much on board with burning Harry Potter books. 2 weeks ago:
When you reveal yourself to be a bigoted, hateful person, most evolved and compassionate people tend to dislike you.
- Comment on If every minority group came together under the same banner they would be the majority, and rights would be much easier to attain for everyone. 3 weeks ago:
Why do you think the fascists try so hard to keep them divided and fighting each other?
- Comment on Socialism is the actual teaching of Jesus 3 weeks ago:
Christianity is incredibly easy to fake. Anyone can call themselves a Christian with little, if any, blowback. It’s the whole ‘sinner saved by grace’ schtick - which is, essentially, “Yup, I’m a Christian but I don’t really have to act like one.”
- Comment on Is it a prison break if the prisoners have been unjustly detained? Who decides when it is a hostage rescuse situation? 4 weeks ago:
The rich.
- Comment on Donald Trump is going to make the troops at his birthday parade swear an oath of fealty to him during the event. 5 weeks ago:
It would be a huge mistake, but I could see it happening.
- Comment on We like to protect people with OSHA laws in the workplace but not during a peaceful public protest 5 weeks ago:
You don’t have to be. What you’ve described is exactly what class consciousness is all about - recognizing that there’s a different set of rules for those who aren’t in power. :)

Looks like somebody just became class conscious. Welcome to the real fight, amigo!
- Comment on All this AI nonsense is an attempt to capitalize on the mere act of human thinking 5 weeks ago:
Anytime you use YouTube, you’re using AI. Anytime you use a web browser that gives you ‘search suggestions’, you’re using AI. Those are just two very simple examples. You’re sorely mistaken if you think AI isn’t being forced upon you every single day.
