  I didn’t really say AI bad, though I think it is. But it’s objectively different. A calculator is designed so that when you punch in 2+2 it return 4 every single time, because that’s how it functions.

  If you ask AI the same question twice you get 2 answers, different AIs give different responses, different prompts, different people, different geography.

  It may be able to consistently regurgitate mostly correct answers to fairly uncontroversial common questions. Things we might call “facts”, things that largely have that information available freely in the world anyway.

  As soon as we’re talking about subjectivity, writing essays and supporting arguments etc, you’re taking your life in your hands trusting AI with that kind of answer.

  But largely this stuff is besides the point.

  We don’t need to kick out the USA. We should obviously not be sharing Intel any longer but the proof will ultimately be in the pudding. If the USA attacks a NATO ally, NATO rallies to their defence as per article V and the USA is no longer involved.

  If anyone else attacks a NATO ally and the USA refuse to abide by article V (despite being the only previous ones to invoke it, dragging many of its (formerly) closest allies into a 2 decade quagmire, then they are no longer in NATO.

  If nothing happens and the USA does nothing, we remain in this dog shit status quo

  Not sure where it originates but it’s the preferred term in UK policing and therefore most media reporting to refer to what might have been called “CP” on the interweb in the past as CSAM. Probably because porn implies it’s art rather than crime, and also just a wider umbrella term

  The aerial work platform industry? Yeah I mean people do die working at height, I was there actually to help specifically prevent that, as I was a product safety engineer. 

  So yeah sometimes I think about the people who went home to their families at the end of the day because of that. 

  I literally said I wasn’t in the defence division, never touched a defence product, and literally didn’t even work in North America.

  Hey!  Thanks bro. I’ll be nice and cool by my pond. Im Canadian and I was working for a US defence contractor. I was in their industrial sector and worked in Europe, never touched a defence product and wouldn’t be allowed to. But every time the quarterly numbers came out and number went up. I couldn’t help but feel responsible for steering them profits.
