Hell yeah brother. Preach it. Hard agree. Since I turned 40 I’ve started to realize: “this isn’t that big of a deal. I’ll save my enthusiasm for the opening night”.
Titties are nice, it’s fine to have them or share them but they’re really just bags of fat bolted onto a chest so don’t expect me to lose my shit after seeing them for the 20th time.
- Comment on All cults go through phases of culling the non-believers. Anytime you justify a cult leaders anti-social behavior solely for the benefits you get by keeping the cult going you've begun this process. 7 hours ago:
I should start a cult. They sound fun as hell tbh.

Compete with what? Maybe the small communities should just not suck.

I mean…I liked doing that too. Free Spider man coloring book pages.
- Comment on A cartoonist's review of AI art, by Matthew Inman 2 weeks ago:
No. Not from experience at all. I saw a small documentary once saying DJs remixed and sometimes create almost entirely new music sometimes using computer based audio tools. I’m probably thinking of a different profession. My ignorance, sorry.

I want to touch on how he mentions ticking the button to automatically make music on a Casio keyboard.
i fully realize I’m being reductive to the point of being offensive but that’s not my intent, when I say: that’s at least in part, the very first seed to becoming a professional DJ. That’s not nothing.
Using AI to generate art can be the same thing if it’s extrapolated out into complexity and layered nuance. It might not make you an artist exactly, in the same way that a DJ might not be a musician but it IS a skillset that potentially has value.
And even if you think I’m totally off-base in saying so? I liked pretending with the little automatic music button on the keyboard.
- Comment on There are more blockbuster movies with real life sex predators as the main lead, than female leads 2 weeks ago:
Respectfully and gently, this sounds like confirmation bias. Do we have any non-anecdotal supportive data? Or anything more substantial than “this just feels kind of right”?

I’ll bet they aren’t speechless. I bet they have lots of things to say. In fact I bet they’re the opposite of speechless…speechful.
- Comment on New Steam study alleges that Valve's store is home to extreme right-wing "wars" 3 weeks ago:
I’ve never considered even using the forums and am only vaguely aware of them. It’s a store, not a social platform. I buy my games, I run the games. Anything else is…kind of weird honestly.
- Comment on Is anyone NOT steaming their Music? 3 weeks ago:
Musical anhedonia I think? I’m usually indifferent, I dislike some music. Ear worms are very rare. I generally prefer spoken word when I want to listen to things: stand-up comedy, podcasts, audio books etc.
It’s usually…fine if I hear music, I just don’t go out of my way to find it or anything.
- Comment on Is anyone NOT steaming their Music? 3 weeks ago:
I don’t listen to music. There’s literally no music that I enjoy enough to choose to listen to it. I’m pretty sure there’s something broken in my brain.
- Comment on [deleted] 4 weeks ago:
Your first mistake was being socially/emotionally attached to anyone or anything at your job. The argument was the first corrective step. Now do it again with everyone else. Do not apologize, do not justify. If anyone at your job thinks you are filled with anything other than unadulterated hatred and spite, you’re doing it wrong.
- Comment on The internet doesnt really spark any joy. Sure the stuff can be funny but mostly just feels me with dread that for this cat meme I have to watch others suffer. 5 weeks ago:
What the hell cat memes are you looking at bro? I don’t think I’ve ever seen one that mandates “you must watch X number of people suffer before viewing this meme”. That just sounds…utterly unhinged. I’ve got a TON of cat memes I could send you and you don’t have to watch anyone suffer for them. Totally free.

- Comment on MIT Study Finds AI Use Reprograms the Brain, Leading to Cognitive Decline 1 month ago:
I don’t refute the findings but I would like to mention: without AI, I wasn’t going to be writing anything at all. I’d have let it go and dealt with the consequences. This way at least I’m doing something rather than nothing.
I’m not advocating for academic dishonesty of course, I’m only saying it doesn’t look like they bothered to look at the issue from the angle of:
“What if the subject was planning on doing nothing at all and the AI enabled the them to expend the bare minimum of effort they otherwise would have avoided?”
- Comment on We hate AI because it's everything we hate 2 months ago:
Why do you say that? I’m not disagreeing. Even if you’re just being rhetorical/trolling, where’s that coming from? Because…actually yeah, I do get that impression sometimes and it’s weird as hell.
- Comment on We hate AI because it's everything we hate 2 months ago:
I don’t hate AI. AI didn’t do anything. The people who use it wrong are the ones I hate. You don’t sue the knife that stabbed you in court, it was the human behind it that was the problem.
