- Comment on Meta's flirty AI chatbot invited a retiree to New York. He never made it home. 1 week ago:
Extremely misleading headline. He, “never returned”, because he tripped and fell in a parking lot. Unfortunately, he succumbed to the fall injuries days later. The headline makes it sounds like the AI killed him or created some plot to do so.

Him naked in bed with Satan was nothing compared to the “Pro-trump” ad at the end. I hope they keep their boot on the necks of fascists throughout the season.

We are. Just not with software that checks keystrokes, mouse movements, etc.
- Comment on People who have been in meetings to determine back to in office policy. What was the discussion like? 4 weeks ago:
I happened to be involved in such a meeting this morning.
The conversation around the general policy was mostly supportive. The main concern is that we do not have an official policy in place and various teams are setting their own rules, which is occaisionally resulting in collaboration issues.
The other main issue, unsurprisingly, regards what we can do to make sure that people are actually working when they are at home. For the most part, people are getting their work done, but there are always going to be people trying to take advantage and we discussed ways to track that without getting too “big brother” across the board.
Sounds like we are going to implement a 2 day wfh allowance coordinated within teams, based on their schedules so that we have at least half of each team in the office each day, with exceptions for people with extenuating circumstances.
We are not going to put any kind of tracking software on their machines, but we are going to monitor overall output.

Exactly. And it won’t stop with airlines either. Our entire lives are going to be a fucking auction model. That’s why we need a lot of vocal opposition now.

Delta has been by go-to airline for a long time. After reading this, I want to fly with them again. Fuck them and anyone else who does this. If we collectively do nothing to put a stop to this practice now, it will be everywhere soon. I fucking hate this level of capitalism. Greedy fucks.

Luckily, for the younger generations, we’ll probably just get cancer instead of becoming massive malleable assholes

Both of my parents assisted the BBC with this article. Super proud of their ongoing efforts to fight against data centers.
It’s really sad how local town councils are selling out their citizens for perceived personal gain, capitulating to companies who could easily afford to create their own infrastructure to support these facilities, but refuse to do so because of greed. trump admin will only embolden them through easing regulations and removing all accountability for the impacts they have.

There is hidden significance and symbolism throughout the device for those dedicated trumpies to uncover. For example, one easter egg is that the length of the screen is exactly 4x the length of trump’s dick.
