- Comment on what does it mean being nice to your coworkers to you? 2 days ago:
As someone who is likely on the spectrum, they can tell you are… off, in some way. I think we trigger some sort of anti-sociopath response in people that just makes everyone who doesnt take the time to know you is just feel uneasy. Coupled with the fact that we are anti-social. Theyre going to get the feeling like you intend harm, emotionally or physically.
People have litterally told me, “I thought you hated me” or “youre allright, I thought you were an asshole”. The reality is I do not want to be here and Id rather be anywhere else. Coworkers try to “break up the routine” and have a chat. But when my schedule is thrown off, i go home later, I eat later, I have less me time, I sleep less, and I blame them.
All that being said, Ive come to realize that being “in tune” with coworkers IS part of any job. You dont have to like them, but smiling at them, holding doors, offering help, making jokes, and being generally upbeat improves overall efficiency. It takes no time at all, and It will keep people from feeling like they need to "confront"you to get a feel for who you are. Its stupid but its how they feel “safe”.
If youre busy, politely dismiss conversations and move on. If you cant thats on you, If they get upset/pushy its on them. For being more friendly, I find that watching TV shows about social groups and structure helps alot. Personal favorites include “The Good Place”, “Community”, “Star Trek”, “Golden Girls”. I cant think of more off the top, but maybe you guys can help add some that resonate with you.

It is a good anime but Its been out for years and maybe if they keep seeing it referenced theyll get around to watching it. The episode in question is basically filler and doesnt provide much to the overarching story

spoiler
Doctor alchemist dad murders them both and combines them into a chimera, Its later revealed he did the same to his wife who “left” him. People like to reference this because it was a well written horror short that threw everyone for a loop. Its both a form of traumabonding and way of messing with people who are in the know.

Youll seem smart but youre just going to be a flesh puppet to the AI. and the AI itself will have to be powered from a server so if that goes down your critical thinking, reasoning, and infinite repository of info disapears. Not to mention the repository of info is the internet and we all know how reliable people can be.
“Hey man do you know a good recipe for pizza?”
“Glue cheese, sand in the dough and small rocks to top it all off. Let me know if you have any other questions, Im glad to help!”

THE B&E JOKE! I actually still love this, his brand of over the top energy doesn’t always hit but the story really matches the energy. thank you for the laughs!

The link Is to a john mulaney bit where he has a friend who steals irreplacable family photos. Just to prove that this kind of senseless protest (like stealing a microwave dish or remote batteries) is infact comedy. I Have seen the bit you are referencing tho. I cannot remember the comedian for the life of me. I want to say dane cook but i havent watched him in YEARS and i cant find it.

Gotta take tv remotes, they are generally really expensive to replace with the new smart tvs, and the victim will assume that they or someone in the household has lost it. Theres also this youtu.be/wu-7soEIHgY

I cannot find it, but my gf showed me this tiktok where a person made an extremely compentent remix within the fortnite music mode. It was a completely original work made of songs within fortnite it was very impressive. All that is to say Im not a fan of low effort work when just a small amount more could turn it into something new and interesting. Monitizing it is just an extra fu imo.
I do get what youre saying about struggling for money, but even so ive seen street artists with some insane talent and or ingenuity. Im of the belief that everyone can practice at something and make a living off of it even if its something wed consider mundane like… sweeping a floor. Im going to look up a professional sweeper right now on youtube and find someone with insane skill. And im sure the same is true with any task or art.
- Comment on Birds are just Nightcore remixes of Dinosaurs 4 weeks ago:
True. But at the same time If little to no effort it being put in it does ride the line of being fair use. So if they are monitizing it which i dont think they were doing 15 years ago If find that kind of scummy. but other than that i look at it as the same thing as those AMVs back in the day. Just something someone made for the love of the source material.
- Comment on Birds are just Nightcore remixes of Dinosaurs 4 weeks ago:
Thats sad if they actually consider what they are doing art. Ive been out of the loop for a while but when I saw people making this stuff 15 years ago, it seemed like a thing a niche community was doing. I dont think anyone took it seriously. I still find songs that sound better sped up like this one is very funny try this one at 1.5 or 1.75 speed. Game changer kinda hits like rapgod from eminem

I know i just enjoy thinking in these odd out of pocket ways to get people out of their heads. Its actually really cool looking at a snake skeleton you can see where the limbs would have been had it not evolved to lose them and where the tail begins very clearly!

Always and slightly less over time. But also randomly.
- Comment on Birds are just Nightcore remixes of Dinosaurs 4 weeks ago:
Its a genere of… music. If you want to call it that. They basically just speed up and pitch up the song to make it sound like its being sung by a mouse version of themselves and then boom nightcore remix.

Only entropically and even when i dont think about entropy im thinking about entropy because of entrophy

I hate this, and I will now say this in public settings to make people uncomfortable with me.
Other phrases on this list include classics such as.
“Trees are just logs with branches on both sides.”
“Snakes are just heads with tails.”
“Cupcakes should have icing on the sides too for them to be cakes.”
“Step aside mortals”
“Good Luck and bad luck are the same thing, just a matter of perspective.” (love when they ask for me to elaborate on this one)
“Ants fought and died for this land!”
“Ever think about entropy?”
“Do you think wed survive at this speed?” In a car, plane etc or if theyve heard the phrase from me before say it again when moving at a snails pace.
“I wonder if theres a horton that can hear us whos.”
“The devs really fucked this one up.” in response to real world bad news implying we exist in a simulation
respond “NO” agressively with a straight face to very innocuous and polite requests, quickly smile and say “problem at all, ill do that right away” then do what they asked
I have more but they are contextual and dont spring to mind.

Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance, Mortal Kombat Deception, Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks.
They tried that. It was not good.

Agreed, Its barely a zelda game but regardless of how easy the puzzles were, they were fun. But yes there were too many and 100%ing the game was an absolute slog because of the similarity between alot of the shrines
“Combat was tedious” sure. If your bad at the game, alot of attacks are parryable and weapons and food are craftable. Even if i wasnt equipped to deal with a situation the enviorment always provides alternative ways to deal with enemies.
“zelda dungeons were the cornerstone of game design” I have to disagree zelda dungeons have always been either bullshit or as you put it mind numbingly easy and tedious. They were innovative for sure, but they were often obnoxiously long. Stopping for a few days and coming back to the game youd forget wtf you were doing and why. The music however i agree with, botw does not have a single track i remember off the top of my head.
The story was always trash. Except majoras mask and minish cap. But i agree about the cutscenes, Its not hard to tell a story through gameplay, so its lazy for sure.
All that said, i never gave botw a shining review. I just said that they actually TRIED something different. Even if it wasnt executed that well.
ALSO how tf are you not going to mention the final boss fight of botw? That shit had my jaw on the floor with how tedious and ass that was.

Breath of the wild definitely comes to mind. The combat and puzzles in that game are an absolute treat. The amount of tools they give the player is unlike anything ive played before, heres a decent clip as an example
But before that… yeah mario galaxy and metroid prime were pretty much all i can think of off the top of my head.
- Comment on Nintendo Updates Its User Agreement To Crack Down On Emulation 3 months ago:
nintendo does not want you to play their old titles, theyve been quoted saying “emulation stifles innovation” to me this just says that we cant play old games because it makes their new ones look bad. Nintendo is pulling a call of duty on us, just re-releasing games with a fresh coat of paint and a new gimmick for example MK with its new open world. Zelda with an open world. Smash brothers, Pokemon… you get it. Dont get me wrong i love these games and IPs, but the games have barely changed since 64. I will say the new DK and MK titles look great, but Ill just wait till we can fully emulate switch 2 and keep my money.
Plus i wont have to worry about them bricking my PC. The last good hardware theyve released was the 3ds and wii u. but they only became great when the modding scene stepped in and made them so. They are clearly worried about the modding scene, dumping games, and adding emulators for old titles. To me, nintendo is dead and has been for a while. The dev teams within nintendo are still pushing out gold. Whilst everyone else there is looking to fuck over the consumer.

I wrote many of my issues with windows in an above comment. But Im still running windows 10 because i hate windows 11 the only real feature they added was the ability to open a command prompt in a directory with right click. Everything else was asthetic nonsense, nothing has changed since windows 7.
it is not secure to be running an older OS or to disable updates and telemetry as i have done. I could use a virtual machine, but anticheat games are usually blocked in vms. I dont have the money to run a second pc, just for windows. Ive been doing this since before windows 11 was even released. I RARELY boot into windows anymore since the only game i play that isnt linux compatable is rust. And even that game runs perfectly under proton but the anticheat prevents me from joining anticheat enabled servers.
To answer you specifically about Windows 11, Its AI was litterally taking screen shots of user desktop and storing them locally without user consent. They quickly shut it down after complaints, and are re-enabling it for everyone with a toggle to turn it off. They know exactly what they are doing. This is a huge privacy and security flaw. They dont care. The less time you are on your windows installation the better.
If you or any other windows users REALLY care about windows id make the switch too, giving linux a larger market share might actually force them to make changes for the better.

Even from a legality standpoint, if a company publishes a button that says “click me and I will do x”, they are opening themselves up to legal liability
The irony of this statement is that they do this all of the time when I run a game with kernal anticheat or DRM or even something as simple as data collection from chrome.
But you are correct I very likely devalue the importance of gui for standard users. since ive been in the linux sphere for so long and i did get used to scripting in windows aswell. This is one of those times where i agree with everything you are saying but my entire being wants you to be wrong, because it does not allign with my experience of reality.
