Developed countries have robust and reliable energy grids while undeveloped countries do not. That’s real life.

While this captures some important similarities between the two, I think you missed the most important that makes OP’s thought valid.

Both are individualistic approaches, unlike centralized energy generation or public transit, which are collectivist approaches. While the former grants greater independence to wealthy enough individuals, the latter is much more efficient and grants liberty regardless of personal wealth. For the individual in a fragmented and individualistic society, the former makes a lot more sense (especially since they cannot build a big energy plant or rail line). As a society, it’s several orders of magnitude more meaningful to push for the latter.

OP is kinda advocating for a sensible public transport where schedules don’t matter due to frequent intervals and with a dense network of stops that are walkable. Possibly supplemented by car sharing or cargo bike sharing for the rare occasions someone has to transport something bigger than a week’s groceries.

The car is a crutch we need while society and politics fail to achieve okay public transit.

There is no difference between patriotism and nationalism. Both instill pride in non-achievements (like being born in the right place) while degrading others for the offense of being born somewhere else.

AFAIK they don’t. Hedgehogs are crepuscular and nocturnal and are therefore particularly at risk as they are not flight animals. Instead, they curl up and rely on the protection of their spines. This often results in serious cuts or severed limbs, which often lead to death. Another problem is that many robotic mower models do not recognise small animals without touching them first. Contrary to the claims of many manufacturers, scientific studies by the Leibnitz Institute for Zoo and Wildlife Research show that the robotic lawnmowers only stopped and turned off after coming into direct contact with the hedgehogs.

That’s because they’re politically illiterate. The important difference is the economic model and its end goal. Is it to make a small elite super rich? Is it to meet the peoples’ needs? The US is extremely efficient in creating a small class of super rich people (and by that I mean corporations too) while China is extremely efficient in switching to renewable energy and expanding high speed rail.

Are you by chance from the US? Because other countries have sensible zoning laws and public transit, making cars for families not a necessity but a luxury. Where I live, nobody needs a car. Shopping is done by cargo bike or hand cart, family trips are taken by train or metro.

If you live in a stupid country tho people might depend on cars.
