You’re seriously attempting to argue with me about whether or not transportation existed before cars?
- Comment on The technology to end traffic deaths exists. Why aren’t we using it? 1 week ago:
Educate yourself. You don’t have to be angry about it. And yes, all major cities had railroad and public transportation hubs before cars took over.
- Comment on The technology to end traffic deaths exists. Why aren’t we using it? 1 week ago:
Look at the history of transportation in whatever city you’re imagining. Cars took over, but I guarantee that city had the transportation infrastructure you think isn’t feasible. The automobile industry has you brainwashed into thinking cars are the only option, but one just has to look at the history of transportation in any given city to know that that isn’t true.

Seriously. A number of games that were announced for Xbox at release still have no release date in sight.

Pc is the future of gaming. After series x and switch I’m going to a living room pc gaming setup and a steam deck. There’s nothing on Sony or Xbox platforms that I can’t get on pc, and the only thing I like about the switch right now is the portability. There’s only a handful of Nintendo exclusives I care about and I think I’ll just sail the seas for those. The Nintendo platform is just not worth the cost

Toyota Tacoma didn’t exist in 1985. The first model year was 1995. Did you mean a 1985 toyota pickup/hilux?
- Comment on Human Intelligence Sharply Declining 1 month ago:
Right, education has nothing to do with how smart or dumb we are.
- Comment on Human Intelligence Sharply Declining 1 month ago:
It’s not mold. It’s education.
- Comment on Human Intelligence Sharply Declining 1 month ago:
Why would you mention it then?
- Comment on Human Intelligence Sharply Declining 1 month ago:
What the fuck? Are you serious? You don’t know what community is outside of the internet?
- Comment on Human Intelligence Sharply Declining 1 month ago:
Or… lack of education? Declining quality of education? Micro plastic is a major problem, but to think it’s the #1 cause of people being stupid is, well, pretty stupid.
- Comment on The Switch 2 Rollout Was So Convoluted It Made Us Want A Steam Deck. 2 months ago:
Yes. In the direct they specifically said that physical game cartridges will be the same shape and size as switch 1 cartridges, but will be red and are much faster. Then in their customer support documentation on their website it says that game key cards are different from regular game cards and will be clearly labeled as “game-key card” on the packaging. However, this doesn’t mean that they will always produce working physical games. This game-key card thing may just be a way to slowly transition into an all digital market without causing a sudden uproar
- Comment on The Switch 2 Rollout Was So Convoluted It Made Us Want A Steam Deck. 2 months ago:
That’s not true. The physical games do contain the game. Game-key cards do not. There is a difference

I actually think that’s exactly what you’re doing. I’m not saying what this guy did with an old projector and lcd screen is practical, but it is interesting and pretty creative. One things for sure though, he didn’t just create a projector using an old projector
- Comment on A TV With Contrast You Haven’t Seen For Years 2 months ago:
Not at all. A dlp projector doesn’t use an lcd panel to project an image, it’s completely different technology. You may be thinking of lcd projection, but either way you’re wrong.
- Comment on A TV With Contrast You Haven’t Seen For Years 2 months ago:
It’s not a projector. It’s an lcd tv screen backlit by a projector. The tv lcd is still what produces the image

You’re wrong
- Comment on You guys have to end it 2 months ago:
You must not know how to drive a manual. When you know how to drive one, you don’t think about it. You just do it. You feel connected to the car and connected to the act of driving. Automatics absolutely allow people to go on autopilot and they focus on anything but driving: stuffing their face with food, browsing lemmy, texting, talking on their phone on speaker while holding it up to their mouth for some fucking reason even though it would be easier and better sound quality to just hold it up to their ear like phones were designed to be used, or you know, just use the fucking hands free phone calling that’s built into every fucking car that was made in the last decade and a half and included in every cheap ass aftermarket stereo system available on the planet

It’s not just about oled vs lcd. There’s a huge difference between backlight arrays in cheap lcds vs expensive lcds. And there’s still benefits to choosing lcd over oled. Either way, some people just don’t care about image quality. I have a friend that claims he still can’t tell the difference between dvd and Blu-ray, or 4k Blu-ray.
