It’s 4k compatible, probably not 4K native. Maybe zome games like Zelda will use Nvidia upscalling.

So is this the new trend after 60% mechanical keyboards, ultrawide monitors or immutable distros ?
Maybe it would improve my typing speed, but I’ve been using a conventional keyboard layout for so long now, I’m fine with where I’m at. Almost thirty years of muscular memory made it “hard coded” in my hands.

I’ve been using computers long enough to know how to do my own tech support (also I’m in IT for a few years, it sure does help). Been using Mint daily for more than a month now and I’m convinced average people can use it (or equivalent : Ubuntu, Pop…) hassle free.
But people must also accept to learn a bit about computers. Most don’t know and don’t want to.

I’m old enough to have bought TF2. Played a little less than a thousand hours. Even counting a few in-game purchases, the cost per hour is very low.
But free means no barrier, you can join anytime,m and stay if you like it. Your friends can try it out too.

Free is an important reason why. Also, these games run very well on old machines. If you mostly play that and get a new rig, you don’t have to spend a lot.
- Comment on Amazon’s killing a feature that let you download and backup Kindle books 1 month ago:
I’ve always heard that they didn’t. Just checked about it and they started to support it in 2022. But it’s still not native, it gets converted to their proprietary format.

Well there’s a key difference, Kobo allows epub. I don’t think they could legally remove it from devices already on the market?
- Comment on Amazon’s killing a feature that let you download and backup Kindle books 1 month ago:
That’s why I avoided Kindle and picked a Kobo. Sure you can remove DRMs from the books you’ve bought. But at some point they could block you from doing that. They can change anything at anytime and there’s nothing you can do about it.
