- Comment on Hackers threaten to leak massive 'Wired' customer database 1 day ago:
Sounds like nothing. Wired should just respond to them “do it”
That would probably piss them off so hard.
- Comment on Made in space? Start-up brings factory in orbit one step closer to reality 1 day ago:
True but why bother keeping a pesky human alive when you can just automate everything and keep all the money for yourself?

The CO2 is not released into the atmosphere. That’s what the bag is for.

- Comment on Earth needs more energy. Atlanta’s Super Soaker creator may have a solution. 3 weeks ago:
Kinda but it looks like a snake, it uses wave action between each segment to generate power. A single buoy going up and down can’t do much, you’re better off with solar which is what we do.
- Comment on Earth needs more energy. Atlanta’s Super Soaker creator may have a solution. 3 weeks ago:
You’d probably generate less electricity then would be required to create the calories needed to cover opening the now slightly more resistant door.

The water in this case is not being heated up for this, it’s waste heat man. It’s already going to be hot.
Everything is dangerous. That’s why we have certification and training.
- Comment on Earth needs more energy. Atlanta’s Super Soaker creator may have a solution. 3 weeks ago:
Y’all poopooing on this think about the amount of waste heat generated by industrial processes. This captures that and uses it to reduce the overall demand on the grid.
- Comment on Pebble maker announces Index 01, a smart-ish ring for under $100 3 weeks ago:
But if my phone’s already doing the work why not sell a licence to the backend then offer the ring for free if people pay a year upfront? Sell it as a “privacy centred self hosted personal LLM” and justify the sub fee as paying for updates and security.
Fuck all of this but doesnt that seem more profitable?
- Comment on 3 weeks ago:
True that brother. I make way less than what I should be making. in the summer when I’m whored out I make $40 base. Rest of the year or internal work I’m making $26
i can go independent and charge $120+ an hour but it’s hard to get clients when the two big players will purposely go out of their way to fuck you over.
