- Comment on Valve's new hardware will NOT be loss leaders 3 days ago:
An item that is sold to you at a loss in hopes that you buy more profitable stuff from them to make up for said loss. Game consoles are usually sold at a loss in order to get people into their ecosystems, so they can buy things like games and subscription services, which are more profitable.

Looks cool, Wishlisted.
- Comment on Sliced off the tip of my thumb, what are some good one handed games? 1 week ago:
Might be fine with space bar as-is. I use the side of my thumb for the space bar, not the tip.

I’ve enjoyed Telltale games in the past (specifically Tales from the Borderlands and Batman), so I’ll likely pick this one up later during a sale.

Replace trains with Gundams and would definitely be one of mine.
- Comment on Relatable. 3 weeks ago:
I’ve been feeling this way, too. Most shows with dumbass teenage main characters are a pass for me, nowadays. I think it’s mainly because I’m getting older and they aren’t very relatable anymore.
- Comment on Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition - Reveal Trailer 3 weeks ago:
Considering Skyrim Special Edition is handled like a different version of Skyrim, I would completely expect this version of Fallout 4 to break mods.
- Comment on Final Fantasy Tactics - The Ivalice Chronicles | Review Thread 1 month ago:
FFT is hands-down my favorite Final Fantasy game. I’m busy with other stuff at the moment, but I definitely plan on getting this one eventually.
- Comment on I'm a bit hooked on old anime. 2 months ago:
I’ve been watching through old Gundam shows recently. While some haven’t aged well IMO, others are still really good. Zeta and the 8th MS Team are two examples.
- Comment on I'm a bit hooked on old anime. 2 months ago:
It doesn’t have to be AI. It’s probably more trend chasing. Anime A becomes super popular, so other series try to emulate it. As far as sound effects, the studios are likely pulling from the same sfx library.
- Comment on Blue Archive, [an anime RTS], got hacked, but the hacker just spawned the same character everywhere without touching valuable data, Nexon confirms - AUTOMATON WEST 2 months ago:
It was definitely one of the funnier hacking incidents I’ve seen in a game.

I stick with wired headset/earbuds so I don’t have to deal with crap like this.

One streamer dropped over $100k on Diablo Immortal when it released. His gear was leveled so high, he couldn’t match against anyone else in pvp.

I remember getting punished by trying to use the Descent 1 cheat codes in Descent 2.

- Comment on Disgrace to you disgrace to your family disgrace to your cow 3 months ago:
Yeah, that can be an issue. It’s likely due to studios not paying much for Eng VA work, so the talent pool is small.
- Comment on Disgrace to you disgrace to your family disgrace to your cow 3 months ago:
I’ll say it: I prefer dubbed over subbed. English voice acting has been getting much better over the past several years (when studios want to pay for it, at least), and honestly, I get tired of reading all the subtitles in every show I watch. That said, I still watch more subbed than dubbed, since it’s more available.
Side note - sub watchers who think they’re superior need to get over themselves. Let people enjoy things however they want. Yes, I know this is a meme, but I’ve also met plenty who seriously think this way.

I was hoping EA would greenlight the overhaul project, as I also really liked the flight and combat. I understand why they didn’t, but it still sucks to see this.

i would consider that to be part of find an employer who cares less about the corpo garbage, but yes, employers who actually care about their employees do exist.
- Comment on How dare you 4 months ago:
Hiring managers are well aware people’s primary motivation for work is pay and that the question is bullshit, but are directed by their superiors to find applicants who are more enthusiastic to work for them, as they’re likely to work harder and for less. Look at the video games industry as a prime example. Many many studios and publishers hire developers and pay them beans because people are lined up around the block to work their “dream job” in the games industry. Those same developers could likely get a job in some other industry making software for something boring, but for far greater pay, benefits, work/life balance, etc.
I am in agreement that not being able to be more upfront with employment motivations is troublesome, but our choices are either play the game, find an employer who cares less about the corpo garbage, or self-employ.
- Comment on How dare you 4 months ago:
For sure. They’re trying to find people who will work harder for less.
- Comment on How dare you 4 months ago:
It’s a given that you’re interviewing because you need money. They want to know why else you want the job.

And what do you know… it just went on sale. Thanks for the info, I just picked it up.
- Comment on What are your favorite Tactical RPGs? 5 months ago:
My favorite is the original Final Fantasy Tactics, hands down. I also liked XCOM 1, Advance Wars, Ogre Battle 64, Unicorn Overlord, Fire Emblem 3 Houses, and probably a few others I can’t think of right now.
- Comment on What are your favorite Tactical RPGs? 5 months ago:
I’ve had my eye on Tactics Ogre Reborn for a while now, but haven’t bought yet since it seemingly won’t go below 50% off, and the reviews say some of the later missions are pretty stacked against you, forcing you to play a certain way. Thoughts on this?

So, the article is about gacha MMOs, but then doesn’t list any? Of the games it references, Honkai Star Rail isn’t a MMO, and World of Warcraft isn’t a gacha game.

I would be 100% ok with it being on the same level as the first, just with a different story, characters, etc. Hell, they could reuse 90% of the city as well.
