Many things increase gut motility. Barbiturates are a famous example of the opposite effect.
- Comment on What is the magic diet for no-wipe poops? 3 days ago:
Basically this. Increased gut motility from inflammation reduces the time spent extracting water from your stool, which is exactly counterproductive to the OP’s question.
- Comment on What is the magic diet for no-wipe poops? 3 days ago:
It totally depends on the individual, but jalapeños give me diarrhea every time without fail. Spicy food causes general GI upset and inflammation.
- Comment on What is the magic diet for no-wipe poops? 3 days ago:
- Wax your ass
- Get a squatting stool
- Don’t eat spicy food
- High Fiber, meaning, don’t eat anything purréd
- Try to eat a salad with lunch/dinner
- Limit or eliminate processed foods
- Limit saturated fat intake up until the point your gallbladder can keep up
- Red sauces, not white sauces
- Eliminate fried food
- Eat foods that are in a form where you can visually discern each major ingredient.
- Eat lean proteins like chicken/fish/Pork (not bacon)

I so strongly disagree with that. The Snapdragon 7 gen 4 in this phone is roughly on par with the Snapdragon 888 from 2020 (S21 series). You couldn’t pay me to daily drive an S21 Ultra, let alone pay 67% of an S25 (a mid cycle phone) for a phone with a 4 year old performance profile. 600$ can be a used S24 Ultra.

- Comment on What would happen to the US if it denaturalised and deported all non-whites? 1 week ago:
Oh absolutely. Latin America is super diverse; I just think at some point Hispanic whites won’t be categorized separately in the USA. At the moment, demographic information asks if you’re Hispanic or not as a separate question. It’s an amount of bending over backwards that’s crazy to me.

I spent 3 weeks in Thonotosassa in 2015, and Jesus Christ was downtown Tampa sad. It just was devoid of any culture or any reason to be down there. The Columbia Restaurant and Ybor Cory was fire though and made up for it a little bit; it just wasn’t enough to make up for the rest of the city being dreary.

Miami was never liberal. It was always a sort of libertarian with certain key issues like anti communism, pro masculinity, pro protectionism, pro small government. We saw them swing right in 2024, but if those were major issues in past elections, we would’ve seen a red Miami sooner. Miami is full of people that have an attitude problem imho.
- Comment on Where are all the successful "red cities"? 1 week ago:
Miami is Miami, St David is probably one of the safest cities in the country. It’s the Mormon college town home to Brigham university.

Truth is, if you’re not descended from the original colonists, every African American has lineage in the US farther back.
“White” in America is actually a moving goalpost that has been moving since literally the founding of the colonies. “Whites” today now comprise literally every fair skinned ethnic background that isn’t east Asian.i shit you not, I think Hispanics who are fair skinned will be the next group subsumed into the white category, followed by fair skinned East Asians. Based on the American definition of white, I, darker than some light skinned African Americans, am white. Middle Easterners are considered white.
- Comment on Why Americans Can’t Buy the World’s Best Electric Car 3 weeks ago:
Software is the answer to many of the mechanical issues too though. Granted, the physical engineering is definitely over engineered, but would they really need to have 6 different taillight frames when LEDs can be multicolor and just tuned with software for each market? I also see zero reason why manufacturers can’t start from a base and tweak for different market configurations; you see car companies complain about complex regulation, but in the say and age when east Asia can make you anything, that’s not an excuse I’m willing to be fed.
- Comment on Why Americans Can’t Buy the World’s Best Electric Car 3 weeks ago:
I will strongly disagree with “over engineered”. Why a car company with all their money and bailouts that they can’t compete with Apple/Android on touchscreen features and responsiveness is the whole reason why Chinese cars will kill American car companies.

This person is seriously underselling how expensive Teton county is. It’s literally millionaires and locals who are now millionaires, or locals who are so poor they only stick around to work in hospitality. Any given “pretty” image from Wyoming is most certainly taken in Teton county as they’ve said above.

I’m from the Boston area, lived in rural NH as well as in Lawrence:
If you move to Wyoming, you will regret it. It’s got the coldest weather in the country outside northern Alaska with killer wind chill worse than Minnesota. Yeah, 2 hours away from doctors sucks, but now imagine that in the winter, driving conditionsbeing the same thing as 495 after a snowstorm but constant. In retirement, for me, I don’t think it’s wise to fight against weather… I get that the city and hot weather isn’t for everyone, but if you’re looking for temperate weather that won’t kill you, look into Eureka, CA or Coos Bay, OR; those places are basically Boston springtime but all year round.

Nope, that designation goes to Massachusetts. First state to enact gay marriage and never had a prop 8 pass as late as 2008. California was a red state, redder than Florida is now, until very recently.

- Comment on WTF is a rural town in the USA? 2 months ago:
“Village” isn’t used anywhere in the USA as far as I know. Places with <500 people call themselves a town usually. Where I’m from in NH (close to these towns), residents call themselves townies. “Small” is kinda just used as a grammatical intensifier in all the cases I’ve heard it used. YMMV in the south or Midwest though.

Visit a AAA location and get an “international drivers permit”. It’s super easy and a good insurance policy for yourself. I highly doubt the police speak much English and aren’t corrupt, so it may save headaches. Also, watch out on neighborhood streets for potholes.
- Comment on ‘My Property Tax Went From $15K to a Life-Altering $91K a Year’ 2 months ago:
There’s no tax on buying property, however, property taxes are a percentage of your property’s assessed value. In my locality, the assessed value has a lot of deductions whereby my 400K house is only taxable as 32K in value, so I pay 3K/year in taxes.
I can’t speak for Florida, but if it’s like Arizona, their property is worth a lot more than 4M if their total tax burden is 90K/year.

Considering that critical thinking has to be thought to you, I think most people who skipped college may not have a good grasp on it.

Even if it were 1000kg, that’s still way below what a truck would want to tow though.
- Comment on Slate, a no-nonsense EV pickup for $20k 3 months ago:
I struggle to understand the point of a truck that can only tow 500kg… that and such awful range. If the range were doubled this would be a great deal, but as is it’s just dead in the water.
