- Comment on If sexuality is a spectrum, does that mean one person is the gayest? 1 week ago:
I think sex acts are within your sexuality, not the other way around.
- Comment on If sexuality is a spectrum, does that mean one person is the gayest? 2 weeks ago:
Probably not when you consider that there is probably a break point in there. Being super gay just means you’d under no circumstances have sex with the opposite sex, no?
- Comment on New Arizona law to restrict online porn access; Pornhub will block state 2 weeks ago:
She’s a slim margin democrat governor. She might be calculating that placating this may end up better than letting the state house overrule her with something worse. Many here are also prudes, unfortunately.

Fellow Tucson here, who were they?
- Comment on How often do guys have a haircut? 2 weeks ago:
I grew my hair down to my ass until it stopped growing around 25. I would’ve kept it longer, but I balded lol.
- Comment on How often do guys have a haircut? 2 weeks ago:
2-3 weeks? By 5 weeks I look a little scraggly (I’m balding, so it’s not great to let it go too long, unless I’m dressing as a mad scientist for something)

Dude, I’m so ready. Linux supports processors that old, by enthusiasts for free.
- Comment on Are Cars Just Becoming Giant Smartphones on Wheels? 2 weeks ago:
I’m gonna be honest, I want my car to be an iPad on wheels. 120fps, buttery smooth animations, 3000nit brightness 19” vertical panel with CarPlay Ultra.
However, I’d be totally satisfied with the Slate truck model that has an app on a tablet that hooks directly into the truck. That’d be honestly more ideal.
- Comment on Not trying to disparage first responders on 911. Why aren't nurses included with fire and police departments? Did we not take care of people on the backend of the rescuing? 3 weeks ago:
They’re the roadies at the music festival. Everyone forgets they’re the ones who make it all possible.
- Comment on For people who relocated: when did you realize you want to live in the new place long-term & why? 3 weeks ago:
I grew up in the Boston area and absolutely hated the cold weather. I moved out when I was 18 to go to college in the Southwest. I literally only applied to warm weather colleges.
- Comment on The Job Market Is HellYoung people are using ChatGPT to write their applications; HR is using AI to read them; no one is getting hired. 4 weeks ago:
It’s not about taking the away way out though; anyone can write that cover letter. You can’t fake the interview, so that’s what has always mattered to me.
- Comment on The Job Market Is HellYoung people are using ChatGPT to write their applications; HR is using AI to read them; no one is getting hired. 4 weeks ago:
I’ve used chatGPT for tens of applications at this point. Cover letters were always fucking useless, and when I was hiring,I never read them.

I completely stopped watching him after the GPU fiasco. I always thought he might be super slimy, but I think I can reasonably say that he is.

- Comment on Goodbye, $165,000 Tech Jobs. Student Coders Seek Work at Chipotle. 1 month ago:
This data to me didn’t show much in the way of by-field statistics. If we’re comparing software development pay at the naîssance of the field to today, it should be complicated to do so. I’d expect to look at top 5% at the very least because of how new and niche computing and coding in general was in the 90s.
- Comment on What is the magic diet for no-wipe poops? 2 months ago:
Many things increase gut motility. Barbiturates are a famous example of the opposite effect.
- Comment on What is the magic diet for no-wipe poops? 2 months ago:
Basically this. Increased gut motility from inflammation reduces the time spent extracting water from your stool, which is exactly counterproductive to the OP’s question.
- Comment on What is the magic diet for no-wipe poops? 2 months ago:
It totally depends on the individual, but jalapeños give me diarrhea every time without fail. Spicy food causes general GI upset and inflammation.
- Comment on What is the magic diet for no-wipe poops? 2 months ago:
- Wax your ass
- Get a squatting stool
- Don’t eat spicy food
- High Fiber, meaning, don’t eat anything purréd
- Try to eat a salad with lunch/dinner
- Limit or eliminate processed foods
- Limit saturated fat intake up until the point your gallbladder can keep up
- Red sauces, not white sauces
- Eliminate fried food
- Eat foods that are in a form where you can visually discern each major ingredient.
- Eat lean proteins like chicken/fish/Pork (not bacon)

I so strongly disagree with that. The Snapdragon 7 gen 4 in this phone is roughly on par with the Snapdragon 888 from 2020 (S21 series). You couldn’t pay me to daily drive an S21 Ultra, let alone pay 67% of an S25 (a mid cycle phone) for a phone with a 4 year old performance profile. 600$ can be a used S24 Ultra.

- Comment on What would happen to the US if it denaturalised and deported all non-whites? 2 months ago:
Oh absolutely. Latin America is super diverse; I just think at some point Hispanic whites won’t be categorized separately in the USA. At the moment, demographic information asks if you’re Hispanic or not as a separate question. It’s an amount of bending over backwards that’s crazy to me.

- Comment on Where are all the successful "red cities"? 2 months ago:
I spent 3 weeks in Thonotosassa in 2015, and Jesus Christ was downtown Tampa sad. It just was devoid of any culture or any reason to be down there. The Columbia Restaurant and Ybor Cory was fire though and made up for it a little bit; it just wasn’t enough to make up for the rest of the city being dreary.
- Comment on Where are all the successful "red cities"? 2 months ago:
Miami was never liberal. It was always a sort of libertarian with certain key issues like anti communism, pro masculinity, pro protectionism, pro small government. We saw them swing right in 2024, but if those were major issues in past elections, we would’ve seen a red Miami sooner. Miami is full of people that have an attitude problem imho.
- Comment on Where are all the successful "red cities"? 2 months ago:
Miami is Miami, St David is probably one of the safest cities in the country. It’s the Mormon college town home to Brigham university.
