Personally, I think the Deck is too big for my tastes, but the beauty of the ecosystem is that anyone can make one while still having almost all the Deck features.
I’d love to have a Vita or even PSP sized Steam handheld with a great screen for smaller titles, but that comes with its own problems

Do you happen to have a Wii lying around? It can do actually pretty decent PS1 emulation nowadays, and supports analog signals (including 240p)

You can use POPStarter to use the built-in software emulator, but it’s not great. There’s also FreeMcBoot if burning discs isn’t a problem.

Probably cheaper to use a 2.5" hard drive. Though I guess this works with Slims as well
