Secondly they are slowly transitioning everything relevant from the control panel to the settings app.
Emphasis on the “slowly”. It’s been four years!!

I unironically had a friend who hated Linux Mint for awhile because he believed for YEARS you always double click applications in the task bar like you would on your desktop. When he switched he was so furious how apps would crash and/or just not start until I told him “dude… just click it once”
I have no idea how this didn’t happen on Windows or how he never had something open up twice

Dave the diver! /s
But seriously I’m a real sucker for platformers, and so A Hat In Time is my most favorited one. It brought back this sort of charm I haven’t felt since the n64 days and I love it!
Stray and Kena: Bridge of Spirits are pretty awesome too, would be my second and third favorites

I can’t tell the difference between the different varieties. Between the “Ultimate 2 Bluetooth Controller” and the “Ultimate 2 Wireless Controller,”
The wireless controller uses a wireless USB dongle for connectivity, which supposedly has way less input delay than standard bluetooth. I couldn’t comment on that personally tho cause I have an older one which is Bluetooth and works fine for me

Never had that issue on my thinkpad, sorry to hear!

Don’t ever tell them about that one quest in BOTW

Unironically, Ecosia has been working on a browser that’s currently in beta with a built in adblocker. Works really well!

my bad, I always assume not just because we’re on the topic of privacy but because of how Ecosia advertises itself as a privacy friendly alternative on their front page when it isn’t that at all that, much like the difference between apple.com/privacy and apple.com/legal/privacy

Your IP address and search terms are automatically shared with our search partners, Microsoft Bing or Google, when you search.

Your search query, IP address and iirc fingerprint gets shown to Bing everytime you make a search, so it’s not private at all

- Comment on Californians Say X Blocked Them From Viewing Amber Alert About Missing 14-Year-Old 4 months ago:
The article could have easily been just as absurd if it was about how people didn’t get the alert because the alerts were moved to a mastodon instance and people are upset because they don’t want to have to go through the trouble of picking a server. heh.
You can view mastodon posts without being forced to make an account. This use to be the case with Twitter before it was turned into X.

they should at the very least be as accessible as possible for people who help.
They’ve been doing this for as long as I can remember, the link in the amber alert led to a Twitter post that anyone could view. It wasn’t until musk recently making it so you have to make an account in order to see posts which makes me surprised this hasn’t been brought up sooner

The M rated Nintendo published game! How was it?

Had a lot of fun! The ending definitely pulled some heart strings
Not yet with Majora’s Mask, I just started getting into emulation/retro gaming because of my Steam Deck and getting involved with it’s community, which led me to a cool application called emudeck. Got super into the retro scene since then, and a lot of these games came out before I was born so it’s fun to try them and have fun with a lot of these gems; been having a blast since. Will definitely give it a go now tho! Do you think I should first do Ocarina of Time or does that not matter?

I think I somewhat recall during the peak Wii U disaster era, during shareholder meetings Nintendo would call the games for the system “Software”. So, that’d definitely backfire on them I’m sure
