Depends on who you ask

There’s really not a lot to it. Respect their chosen names and pronouns, and don’t ask them random questions about being trans unless they’re open to it. Listen when/if they get close enough to talk about their experiences, and reassure them that this is a safe space. Don’t impose gender norms on them.
Otherwise, we’re just like everyone else.

This post raises more questions about you than anything. I’ve been on Lemmy for a while and have never run into any, wtf are you looking at
- Comment on I feel like modelling is one of þe saddest jobs 1 day ago:
It really depends on what you make of it. I only say this as someone who’s done a little bit for my side gig, but I have friends who do it more professionally.
Mainstream modeling is as soul sucking as you can imagine, but alternative and queer modeling has more leeway. The fun in it is coming up with looks, poses, and ideas. Posing like a mannequin for a JCPenney catalog sounds miserable. A lot of people I know who do nude modeling really seem to legitimately enjoy it.
To give an example, the shoots I’ve done have involved snakes, beds of nails, and other fun things like that.

To be fair, the FBI won’t be very useful nowadays
- Comment on what language would be best for me to learn? 6 days ago:
I’m fluent in Spanish and English, currently learning French. I like to describe it as Spanish with all the parts of English that make no sense. But knowing Spanish does make it a lot easier

- Comment on What would I need to do to successfully paint with my own menstrual blood? 2 weeks ago:
It’s going to turn a sickly brown-black color. I have some veinous blood on wall art and it honestly looks like tried ketchup at this point. I’m not sure what preservative would work though.
As others said, it’s gonna be thin like watercolor. Maybe it can be mixed with ink?
- Comment on What would I need to do to successfully paint with my own menstrual blood? 2 weeks ago:
Oh no there’s definitely enough blood
- Comment on Hot sauce is for Dad to protect his food from scavenging by lesser beings 2 weeks ago:
Growing up was the other way around. My dad knew I was repulsed by seafood so he’d get a seafood dish then steal from my dish. The field was evened when I learned he couldn’t handle spice

- Comment on As a child of the 90s we grew up with PC Political Correctness. Is that WOKE but just in a different form? 4 weeks ago:
“Woke”, “PC”, “CRT”, “DEI” and other terms like that are just dogwhistles for racist people that mean “people who aren’t white cishet men”

Making HRT straight up illegal
Sending dissidents, queer people, immigrants, and political rivals on a one way trip to El Salvador
Lining up military forces along the Canadian and Mexican borders, then a moment of dementia when Trump says he’ll do the same to Greenland
AI meets eugenics meets racism

I’m leaving the US for my own safety so no, you’re not being paranoid. A lot of people who fear for their safety but can’t leave are trying to move to blue states. I personally know at least a half dozen.
