Even in Britain, the slow lane on two-human-wide escalators is on the right. It confounds me.

Numbers-to-colors synesthete here to say that for me, 3 for example does seem green-like, but green on the other hand does not seem 3-like.

Yes. And mark my words: as bad as they may seem, these are the good old days.
- Comment on A conversation with my wife 1 month ago:
WOW. I can’t imagine the fear.
I also feel like it’s impossible to learn about the lost sensitivity: in the half dozen posts I have seen over the years about non-babies being circumcised, they say the sensitivity lost isn’t as much as we circumcised suspect it was. I’m not doubting you. I just wish I knew what the proper amount of resentment about my parents having chosen this is.

- Comment on I have amblyopia. Is this accurate? 1 month ago:
My “lazy” eye now actually has better vision than the eye I actually use. The lazy eye is just for show.
I had surgery at like 5 years old and I’m told it helped at least as much as the eyepatches.

- Comment on is Texas really that cold and cruel as depicted in movies of the Coen brothers, the novels of Cormac Mccarthy and the movie Hell or High Water? 1 month ago:
I love Texans but when I worked telephones when I was younger, only the most awful people were exactly the kinds of Texans you’re describing. Maybe it was because we were strangers but there is a part of me that’s still terrified, especially of Dallas people, because of it.

O− here too. I’d he super stoked to get those kinds of calls and I’d feel like a hero. I even signed up for the bone marrow registry who I was told reach out to you if you’re a match they need. Crickets. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

“Is my sister literally watching you have this phone call with me?” — me to myself on the phone with nephlings in the past. Gross. Especially since my sister complained about our own parents having pulled that kinda bs

If it works for dictatorial despots who pay lip service, but nothing more, for their followers’ wellbeing, then why wouldn’t it work for the gods?
