- Comment on Netflix to take on Google and Amazon by building its own ad server 2 days ago:
you’re right, everything sucks now. literally everything is about stuffing ads in your face and spying on you. on top of taking your money of course.

i liked xp, loved vista, disliked 7, hated 8, loved 8.1, hated 10, and 11 made me switch to hannah montana linux

- Comment on Popular social media apps TikTok and Instagram use AI to analyze photos on your phone, introducing both bias and errors 2 weeks ago:
a friend of mine once told me that it’s hard for her to keep in touch with me because i don’t use instagram. i told her i do use whatsapp and i know she uses whatsapp. she then explains how it’s easy to tell everyone what’s going on in your life by just posting it on instagram for everyone to see. there i realized we weren’t really friends, but merely just drinking buddies. made me hate ig even more than i already did.

- Comment on The next Cortana: Copilot on Windows is no reason to buy a new PC 1 month ago:
i never even liked w10 and 11 seemed just horrible. when i heard about the copilot thing last summer, i decided to start getting familiar with linux so that when 10 dies, i won’t have to use 11 and the AI abomination it evolves into. i soon ditched 10 completely after seeing how much nicer mint is. for my school projects i still need windows on my laptop but after that’s over, laptop gets mint as well.

i’m studying mechanical engineering and there’s a guy in our class who’s obsessed with chatgpt. he’s always trying to solve all of the tasks using chatgpt and he’s always the first to share the solution in zoom. so far it’s never been correct but he just sticks with it…
- Comment on It is essential to stop using Chrome. Under the pretense of saving users from third-party spyware, Google is creating an ecosystem in which Chrome itself is the spyware. 4 months ago:
in my previous job we were allowed to install some old version of firefox through the companys own portal. but we couldn’t access internet with it because “firefox is vulnerable”. they use google suite so chrome was the default browser, but edge worked too and even IE…
