Same, and honestly it eats me away inside

Photoshop has existed for years. It’s no different than a student in 2010 being shocked at the horrors of man and trying to figure out how it could be faked with a computer. People have denied the Holocaust for generations!

I think I lost this analogy. What are the condiments in this metaphor?

Unfortunately it’s way more than that :(

That’s new enough for me, considering I’ve probably forgot most of the content since I played this what, ten years ago? More? God damn I was a kid when this came out and now I’m nearly 30
- Comment on If you live a million years you'll still never understand why someone would park right next to you in a forest campground when there's dozens upon dozens of empty spots with more privacy available. 4 months ago:
Yeah that’s totally fair, I felt weird writing that because that was how I was brought up thinking of it. I suppose where I live, the dispersed camping is very clean cut and does show up on NFS listings, so I’ve learned to think of it differently recently. I suppose at the very least me and many other people just call any first come first serve camping “dispersed” because of this 🤷♀️
Whatever the case, it certainly doesn’t need to be a backpacking spot.

Dispersed camping is any designated campsite that allows you to show up and go as you please. In Montana, they’re everywhere and frequently have spots to put your RV or car. “Dispersed” is a designation by the NFS for these sites

Sure, but if someone really loves milkshakes and they find a specialty ice cream place that doesn’t do non-dairy, they’ll just have to walk away either disappointed or filled with toots
- Comment on We keep measuring everything's value with something that continuously loses value over time 6 months ago:
The idea that a little inflation is better than none comes from the thought that money should be changing hands as much as possible, and if money kept its value people would be incentivized to save all their money and keep it to themselves, and that would remove it from the economy. But if the value of that cash goes away people will want to invest it in something that might not lose its value, like a service.
Idk that’s just the way it’s always been explained around me I’m not some money jockey

- Comment on Apple will start allowing emulators on the iOS App Store 7 months ago:
No, I didn’t mean to say Google did that. Not like Google is a great company, but I’m saying there was a scare a bit ago from the emulator publishers themselves when that happened. At least I thought that’s why aesthersx got taken down, and I thought I remembered others as well. Obviously people seem to disagree

Except they’ve been pulled recently after the Nintendo fiasco

Right? Having an ad blocker means my video gets slowed down by a few seconds, not having an ad blocker means I get to watch a 30 second ad from a local politician telling me about how we need to get rid of fornicators. I think I know my choice lmao

Same with me. Over the last few months it’s started to take tens of seconds to connect to any websites that aren’t Google, Facebook, YouTube etc. Idk what it is or why it’s happening, but it’s to the point where I’m switching ISPs because it’s wasting too much of my time.

I love my p6pro and agree with the second sentiment. I also just think literally every company is spying on me at all times and I’d drive myself mad trying to stop them so why not just lean into it 🤷♀️ at least I have good qol in the meantime
