They’re always online, not all their printers can go offline. And when they find something they don’t like in your bambu account they can turn off your printer.
- Comment on What are some self hosted services that you think are essential? 5 days ago:
Depends on the situation of course, but for us:
- immich: family photos are important
- docker + ssh: we enjoy hobbying with code, nerds be nerds
- samba: a file sharing protocol that works on all of our things

To be fair, the 700 upvote meme would’ve probably been 700 3.5 star ratings if that was an option

I’ve seen some of your posts, but not the videos. I’m sorry.
it’s because:
- I do not want to leave the app
- I prefer text posts (on this platform)
- Half the time gifs and videos don’t load on this app, and I kinda like it that way. If only lemmy had a filter for that
In the end tho, you should make content because you enjoy it. Who cares what others think.

They’d have to do some “creative interpretation” of the law

- Comment on Sore loser Kamala STILL hasn't admitted she lost as world waits for concession speech and Biden stays silent 2 weeks ago:
Spoke a bit too soon? It was announced, and held not long after this was posted.
Sometimes plans take a minute. Biden was not a presidential candidate anymore. But I wouldn’t be surprised if he makes a statement sometime this week.
No rush

Ehh, just thinking of possible air resistance and such. I don’t know which variables they like to include and which not. But I’m guessing this is not one for just treating gravity as a one way street cuz the earth is so big

- Comment on Why is the term "bloodline" often used instead of "family tree"? 3 weeks ago:
Possibly? Or perhaps some people learned it trough movies and just don’t have a better word for it?

So does the line go towards grandpa at mom’s side, or dad’s side?

That it does!
- Comment on Why is the term "bloodline" often used instead of "family tree"? 3 weeks ago:
Does the line go directly from mom or dad?

That would not surprise me
- Comment on Why is the term "bloodline" often used instead of "family tree"? 3 weeks ago:

- Comment on How are scammers getting my email address? 3 weeks ago:
When I sign up somewhere, I often use
my.email.address+service@gmail.com
And then occasionally spam comes into my mailbox “hi person, you singed up for spam service” send to my.email.address+spotify@gmail.com
and well, now I know who sold it
- Comment on Is it okay to take drugs to make yourself a better person? Does it make a difference if "better" is mental or if it's physical? 3 weeks ago:
Being physically better does not make a bully any less of a bully. Being physically better is cool, and practical, but as humans our social interactions and mental health are much more important. Especially in the modern world where physical problems often aren’t major problems anymore

Oh that’s an odd approach, it’s just an electric heater with extra steps
