Never had problems, but I wish you all the best for your ZFS problem 🤗
- Comment on Best Filesystem for NAS? 9 months ago:
Yes but BTRFS can this out of the box without extra tools. Both ways have their own advantage, but I would still prefer BTRFS
- Comment on Best Filesystem for NAS? 9 months ago:
Yes compression is cool. Zstd level 3 to 6 is very quick too 😋
- Comment on Best Filesystem for NAS? 9 months ago:
Ext4 does not have snapshots, COW or similar features. I am very happy with BTRFS. It just “works” out of the box.

Good luck, maybe you find a clue in the docs, if not ask on github ☺️

Strange 🤔
I have no problems with Firefox on Fedora 39 or FF on Windows 11.
Extension is not available on FF in Android. How did you try that?

Works without issues here. Keep in mind to add http(s):// in front of your address.

Using it since 2 months now and I really like it. Was totally worth a donation👍

There are no slow nextclouds, only wrong configured ones ☝🏻😁

“Way faster” came from me :D
It is the complete package which makes it way faster…
Postgres, Redis, PHP Opcache, general PHP tweaks ( PHP.ini, child processes etc, use calculator ), HTTP-2 instead of 1.1
For HTTP-2, you can add this for Apache in your vhost:
Protocols h2 h2c http/1.1
For example:
<VirtualHost *.80> ServerAdmin admin@server.com DocumentRoot /var/www/html/nextcloud/ ServerName my.domai.com Protocols h2 h2c http/1.1 ....
In NGNIX add this in a new line:
http2 on;
For example:
server { listen 80; listen [::]:80; server_name my.domain.com; http2 on; ....
Using NGINX over Apache did nothing for me, so I use Apache with PHP-FPM 8.3, because I am using it for Wordpress too, same for Redissockets. I would recommend not to use a docker container for Nextcloud. I don’t like it for Nextcloud and I don’t use docker for Wordpress. Docker has other use cases in my setup, but not those 2.
This is just my personal setup.
Maybe it can help someone :)
- Comment on I guess kind of obvious when I say it but I'm going to say it anyway (fixed a nextcloud error message) 10 months ago:
Yes way faster, I switched a long time ago. If you want more extra speed add redis cache via unix sockets ☝🏻

Network mode host means it is in your real host network. Ports are then ignored.
Remove the line network mode host

I would do this additional step. It costs nothing and maybe it prevents errors :)

Took less than 10 Minutes for my instance. Was smooth :)

Webtop is really cool. Full desktop OS in the Browser
- Comment on Nextcloud alternatives 1 year ago:
Nextcloud is not easy to setup, that´s right, but it is not this complicated. Use Postgres as database, it is faster than MySQL. Install Redis as Cache and configure PHP Cache too. This will speedup the most. I use nextcloud installed directly on the host, no docker. Another small guide is here for Postgres and Apache
- Comment on Nextcloud alternatives 1 year ago:
Nginx alone will not speed up Nextcloud. Use Postgres instead of MySQL and configure Redis and PHP Cache. This will speed up most. And Nginx is not officially support, see here

I pay around 10€ per month. The VPS has more services than.just Synapse. Mastodon, Database, Immich, Nextcloud, gotify… And a few more 😁
I use the VPS 2000 from NetCup

Maybe a problem with portforwarding 🤔

Never used it in LAN. Always used a VPS for this with a domain name, no DynDNS or similar.

I host Synapse (Matrix)
Runs without problems and just works 🌞

I saw your project on Codeberg before. Then it was whisper plus. Since whisper+ it did not work anymore for me. I uploaded a file and it did not start. The old whisper worked. Did not try it for months anymore with whisper plus.
Maybe I give it another try. Can I use bind mounts or are there special permissions? Anyway thanks for your work.
