- Comment on WalkScape's (RuneScape inspired fitness MMORPG) developer here, we've now released support for smartwatches on iOS & a lot of new content, and we are accepting new players to the Closed Beta! 6 days ago:
Well I think I’m just an idiot… I signed up for an account I think when I saw your very first post about it here. But I don’t think I ever actually submitted the beta application since I overlooked there was more than just signing up. 🤦♂️
Either way, I’m all set now since I just decided to donate instead.

I haven’t been accepted (yet, fingers crossed) into the beta but just wanted to say that this is such a cool project! Good on you for making and sharing it!
- Comment on Nvidia debuts a native GeForce NOW app for Steam Deck, supporting games in up to 4K at 60 FPS; in testing, the app extended Steam Deck battery life by up to 50% 1 week ago:
If you have the ability to play every game you’d want, then yeah you likely have no need for this. But I’ve used GeForce Now to either play games on low-spec PCs or for a period of time when I only had access to a MacBook. Also, not every game will run on Linux (or if it does it may not perform quite as well), so that’s another potential use case.

I don’t disagree. But I think they’re trying to make the nuance that Amazon isn’t the one that sold the item (K-Mart in your example). Instead, the third-party was the seller. And I guess that just makes Amazon a facilitator or something that isn’t responsible.

Paying someone to manage your investments for you does not mean you’re not an “active” investor. An example of active vs passive investments would be that passive investments usually involve index funds… that is, funds that include virtually “all” stocks and closely resemble the overall performance of the market as a whole.
As opposed to “active” investments which, as just one example, could include using someone to manage your investments if they are picking individual stocks based on whatever their criteria are for what they think is a “good” investment.
